And who else to enlighten us about the "toughness" or "softness" of ballplayers than a high performance athlete such as Mino from the comfort of his couch.

Ellsbury has broken ribs, and i'm sure everyone that has talked trash about him couldn't wipe their ass with a pair of broken ribs.

As for Drew, Mino's pre-conceived notions are well-known, and what i find funny is how he states "took himself out of the lineup" because apparently, not only is he 100% certain of the extent of the issue, he was part of the conversation and helped Tito put out the lineup card!

The issue is the notion that Drew doesn't like to play through pain or "hurt" rather than being actually injured. Now, I certainly can't comment on the validity of these accusations, but he has a history of missing games for "pain", not injuries. Now, he's a great player regardless, but when a team is really undermanned and everyone is hurt, you have to man up and play through pain (albeit it's soreness and not a serious injury). I think we just want to see guys rise up and have a "Nothing will stop me" attitude. Drew could just be someone who just gets seriously hurt all the time, but he could really just be a little "soft". Only the team actually knows. However, as a fan, I'm mad when he is scratched for what seems like something minor.

Varitek to the DL with a broken foot. Out 6 weeks. Son of a bitch! Someone either pissed of God or a yankee/rays fan has voodoo dolls of our players. At this rate, this thread's gonna have 500 pages. Oy.....

This is beyond ridiculous.

As of right now:

Beckett - DL

Delcarmen - DL

Vtek - DL

Vmart - DL

Pedroia - DL

Buchholz - To miss a start

Ellbury - DL

Hermida - DL

Lowell - DL

and Cameron was out for the first month and half.

It just keeps piling up.

Look at it this way. When we start to get some of these players back it will be like a trade deadline action. Just how long can the Sox keep up playing above .500 with 10 on the DL.

The addition of Manny Delcarmen and Varitek will give the Red Sox 10 players on the disabled list — five since June 24. So far, the Sox have had players miss 424 games while on the disabled list.

This is an unreal run of injuries. But if the Sox can grind out then next 6-8 weeks and manage to stay slightly above .500, they should be fine, assuming everyone comes back from injury.

The Red Sox have announced a new stadium promotion. The first three fans to check in at the gates before every home game are added to the roster as catchers.

This just in: Jerry Remy to play 2nd.

Oh and let's not forget that Dusty Brown and Mark Wagner are out, so our choices for a replacement are officially Juan Apodaca (Who? Exactly) and Expo.

Yeah i read something about Juan Apodaca a while back. He's from Venezuela. Anyways this team is stacked but we have so many of our key players on the DL . I mean seriously look at this list.

1)Dustin Pedroia-Foot

2)Josh Beckett-Back

3)Victor Martinez-Finger

4)Clay Bucholz-Hamstring

5)Jacoby Ellsbury-Ribs

6)Jeremy Hermida-Ribs

7)-Mike Lowell-Hip

Posted
8)Varitek-foot

9)Manny Delcarmen-forearm

10) Drew- vaginal cramping

Ohhhh you'll get yelled at for that :D

ROFL number 10. Yeah i had already mentioned Veritek in an earlier post so i didn't bother to put him again. I don't really see Manny and Drew as "key" players.

Yeah, I caught the Tek mention, but I figured since you had Lowell and Hermida on the list, I'd might as well complete it with accurate injury details.

I'm sorry' date=' i can't hear you over the sound of Drew's Homeruns.[/quote']

She gets angry during this time of the month, doesn't she? That's probably where the power comes from.
