Oki's gotten to the point where Tito needs to have him start an inning with a guy warming already.

Oki f***ing sucks.... we know this.. Tito leaving him out there to see if he can be trusted in a playoff game.. oh wait..we aren;t going to make the playoffs if we blow 4 run leads to TERRIBLE lineups like the Tigers.. I blame Lester as well for giving up a triple to a rookie lefty and a HUGE double to the worst hitter in the Majors ..Adam Everett..yes he pitched very well..but you cannot let that lead go from 4 to 2 and get beaten by a rookie and Adam Everett..that is inexcusable.

There's no reason to blame Lester for the rest of the team blowing his lead.

You were serious with that 3/41 comment yesterday? I thought you were joking. FTR' date=' going into last night he was 10 for his last 40 with both of his homers.[/quote']

Just going by what I read in the Globe. Maybe their data is wrong?

Why didn't they move the runners over with Beltre? 'Coma strikes again. I wish I could get paid to nap.

MDC, that pitch 10" off the plate, he's not swinging at that, might want to try something else.

I guess Tito feels that Ortiz has turned the corner by starting him against the LHP. Everyone was ready to DFA him, but don't look now his Batting Average .232 is higher than VMart's .226. Should we DFA VMart too?

While I am somewhat reluctant to mention it again given that the Boston media has been so unreliable with their data of late, I read (and heard) that Ortiz actually hits LHP better than he hits RHP. Particularly over the last two years.

I'm sure it all a mistake, though.

VMart actually has value though, so I can see them trying to get something for him, despite a slow start.

Also, Shoenweiss's facial expression makes it clear to me that he knows that he'll be the one to lose this game. Two f***ing pitches and already a big base hit. What the hell was this team's management thinking when they left two big holes in the bullpen?

They are both good hitters. They are not the problem for this team.

Losing a game started by Lester vs. Willis should not happen. They will lose a game in the standings to the Yanks and Rays.

No big deal. Still 125 to go.

Trending down: Adrian Beltre is 3 of his last 19, dropping his batting average from .343 o .313. ... Victor Martinez is 2 of his last 19 but has five RBI in those four games. ... Darnell McDonald is 5 of his last 29.

FTR - this is what Abraham wrote on Boston.com yesterday. Except yesterday it said 3 of his last 39.

I guess I can't trust what I read on the internet! :lol::rolleyes:

Blowing games is a big deal. It doesn't matter when it happens.

I purposely left off the smiley thinking that YOU would understand my post.

One change that they need to make is to flip flop the 1st and 3rd base coaches. Bogar is just sending too many guys to easy deaths at the plate, and it has cost us at least two games.

I didn't see the game, but looking at the box score I can tell that it sucked. Lester's continued to pitch well though and that's a good sign. And so is the fact that Ortiz continues to mash the ball.

The most concerning thing for us all year long though has been our ability to hit with runners in scoring position. We were 4-for-15 with RISP tonight and left 13 guys on base. Our team OPS is only points away from the major league lead, yet we're 4th in the majors in runs scored.

What the hell happened? I was at the Reds game tonight and kept following the scores when they showed them. We had a 6-1 lead and ended up blowing this game. Good grief.
