Willis was scratched again with a fever. Might be time they actually look into his fever. A fever for 5 days in a prime adult is not typical.
Who is starting in his place?

Who the hell is Casper Wells?

Major league debut, I think they said. I saw Wells, and for some reason my mind shot to Vernon.

Why not David

Urg. Looks like it's going to be one of those games where there's a "Property of Boston Red Sox" sticker on the first and second base bags, and a force field between 2nd and 3rd.

 This describes the Red Sox perfectly.

Dontrelle looked like crap. I think we'll get more chances.

You should have seen David Wells in his prime, covering territory in the outfield like the light-hoofed gazelle...

The good news is that David Ortiz has a 7 game hitting streak. The bad news is that once again I had JD Drew on my bench.

In all fairness, the last time I had benched him was when he had vertigo, so I kept him out of the lineup and I haven't had access to a computer for the past few days so I was not able to start him for the past few days (including tonight).
