It makes no sense. Jordan stayed with the team he was drafted by, I've never heard anyone say Lebron to Bulls, but I am pretty sure I would like the Cavs to keep, but they must get another big name. Lot of Bosh/Wade and Lebron talk.

I think he's gonna stay. Cleveland knows that without him, they're back to being the Cadavers so they're gonna make him an offer he can't refuse.

Why the hell would he go to Chicago?

To play with Derrick Rose, who is better than anyone on the Knicks and the Cavs. Although I don't think he will come to Chicago. Would love to see it, though. Of course, I would also take Wade. But knowing the Bulls, they'll end up with Joe Johnson or Bosh. Not both.

Miami makes sense. LeBron and Wade would be an unstoppable tandem. Would actually be unfair to the rest of the league. Start of a new dynasty.

Even Wade and Lebron could fall of they don't have their supporting cast. I'm not sold that Wade and Lebron, possibly the two best players in the NBA, would beat the Lakers if they had all scrubs on their team. Plus who knows if Wade can handle second fiddle. Pippen didn't, but they also had Rodman, Grant, etc. It wasn't just two guys and a bunch of scrubs. It was a team with two giants who gelled together. Basketball is a game that can have talent ruined by chemistry.

Can't see that ever happening as neither one of them wants to be second banana.

I'm going to say Cleveland first, then Chicago, and then New York. Those seem like the only realistic possibilities. One of my roomates (a Knicks fan) thinks that he'll definitely go to NY, but I figure that he'd want to go to a good team first, or at least one that doesn't totally suck ass.

Some guy in the NY Times had about the right odds: Cleveland 5-7, Chicago 2-3, NY 3-1.

If he listens to his heart, he'll stay in Cleveland. If he listens to his handlers, he'll go to NY--where THEY can make the most money.

If Joe Mauer can stay with the Twins' date=' I have faith that LeBron won't end up in NY. Besides, can't Cleveland give LeBron the most money because of the max-contract rule?[/quote']

Yeah, but that's because with the new stadium, the Twins promised to make significant payroll upgrades. We went from like 62 million to 100 million. In the NBA there's also a salary cap you have to fight with, the Knicks made tons of room a couple years back if you remember, basically sacrificing two years to make a huge splash in the free agent market for this year. I still think that whoever one of Bosh or Wade ends up with, Lebron will follow. I think he would like winning more than he would like making money, because what's money if you're going to be on a team that can't get it done?

He's shown that he can take some god-awful teams, and bring them far on his back, but he's gonna need either a significantly better all around team surrounding him, or a second superstar. I think that's Wade or Bosh. There still has to be a team that can actually afford two superstars.

He's gonna go wherever the biggest money is at' date=' and that ain't Cleveland.[/quote']

Yes, it is. They can offer the largest maximum contract of any team. And if you don't think he'll get a maximum contract, I have a bridge to sell you. They can offer him 6 years @ 20.5M/yr... no one else can.

As I said earlier, I'm sticking with Miami. They have a great area to pitch to him, a recent championship status in 2006 that they could definitely return to if he were to go there. If LeBron lands in Miami, I have a big feeling Wade will be returning as well. There's no need for anyone to play second fiddle to someone else... there are 5 players on the court and each can be appreciated for their own role. Standing out as the team's only star player is a completely overrated aspect of players' mindsets. They want two things more than anything else... money and a championship. Miami would be a great city for LeBron as well. Wade, LeBron, Beasley is a fantastic group.

I definitely think Miami makes a ton of sense. I should have dropped money on it at the start of the year when the odds were probably through the roof. It would have been worth whatever I would lose should he end up elsewhere.

Thank you Schilling, that was my point but nobody addressed it.

I doubt he'll end up in Miami.

There's that chance he ends up in Cleveland only because he's from Akron, but Lebron's got ambitions to be a billionaire, and how many billionaire's choose Akron, Ohio over world class cities like New York and Chicago?

Miami isn't super small either, if it was all about money, he'd go New York, end of discussion. If he wants to win, he'll choose to play where Bosh or Wade plays. Like I said, Miami isn't small, it's a big market, and if Wade stays there, I could certainly see them making a run at Lebron.

Lots of billionaires would choose Miami :)

Bingo. I like Miami as well as one of my Lebron destinations.

Yea right. Lebron wants money.

"I don't care about money, I just want to win."

You know who said that?

Obviously he said that. It's the politically correct answer.

Who would say, "I want money, f*** you guys"
