Actually, Emmz, I disagree about New York. If it's all about the money, he'll stay in Cleveland due to the max contract rule. I do think he'll sacrifice 1 or 2 million a year so he can have a consistent chance to win though. That's why I like Miami or Chicago better than Cleveland or New York. Even the Clippers would be a strong team with LeBron... they can also pitch the LA lifestyle and give him all the credit for turning attention away from the Lakers.

Yeah, if he chooses New York it's about the glory -- saving the Knicks.

 

And Miami is a big city as far as cities go. But as far as professional sports markets go? Not that big. Miami itself would probably be one of the smaller cities in the NBA -- smaller than Denver, Oklahoma City, Portland, Sacramento, etc.

 

As a TV market it falls somewhere in the middle of the league. Aside from the cities nightlife and weather, I don't really see what would attract him there.

 

And what I meant was that while he's going to make a lot of money regardless, someone who has ambitions of becoming a billionaire and a world icon would be best off choosing a world class city like New York, Chicago, or LA. I've never been to Miami (or Cleveland), and I'm sure it's a nice city (Miami, not Cleveland), but it's not in the same category of those other three.

If Lebron truely didn't care about money and was all for winning, he would sign with Miami for 1$ so they can keep Wade and get Bosh. (Lebron makes millions from endorsements anyway) Can you imagine Wade, Bosh and Lebron on the same team? Lakers and Celtics wouldn't stand much a chance

think of the all the ego on that team. There wouldn't be enough basketballs to give them the ball time they want.
