I think the Blue Jays inability to put the ball in play has actually hurt his pitch count. Lester's been ahead on pretty much all the batters and he's only walked 2.

Lester looked really good. That being said, he fell behind a few guys and seemed to get them to chase out of the zone a lot. A more patient lineup may have gotten him out of there earlier, but not sure anyone was gonna touch him. His curve was pretty sick
