Look at the chart again...tell me what you really see?

Secondly, I don't use Fox Sports hit chart. I use ESPN Insider. According to them, here is the distrubution of balls to left, center, right. 21, 17, 18.

Know what that means? He's a spray hitter. Know what I know from watching the gamezzz? He's a spray hitter. Know what you can see from your Fox Sports chart? He's a spray hitter. In fact, most of the doubles and flyballs he hit to left center would have been homers if the park was reversed.

Now go look at Matsui:

http://mlb.mlb.com/stats/individual_player_hitting_chart.jsp?c_id=ana&playerID=425686&statType=1

Look at how his hits were dispersed? What do you see? Pull hitter...yet he hit markedly better on the road.

You really can't make a logical point, yet you constantly pat yourself on the back thinking that you do. You're completely lost. Quick...hurry...get Emmz to defend you.

Was that better 228? I didn't call him a douche. Yet read his posts. He either says it or implies it all the time, and when he's wrong, and he gets his Internet girlfriend to back him up with some classic tidbits like "pwned" or "ROFL" or whatever. He's just confused.

I just don't want to see you, or anyone else get banned, and I think you might be heading down that path. Regardless, I think it's best to ignore whatever you may think he's implying, and just keep the conversation civil.

Ah, OK. I was confused, because, to the best of my knowledge, Mark Teixeira doesn't post here. Although that would be pretty cool.

Well Jacoby_Ellsbury posts here, so why not get Mark_Teixeira?

This is a good point, and there's always Gehrig38, so I guess anything is possible.

As unlikely as it is for Mark Teixeira to post here, I think we're crossing into a whole new area of improbability with this one lol.

The conversation is as civil as I can make it. My point is that even when he debates a point everyone agrees with, he just can't back it up with a strong argument. Then when he gets called out on it, she runs to save him.

It's a f***ing broken record.

Anyways, the Yankees offense will regress next year. It's just a question of how much.

Just like the Holliday argument, where i had to agree to a "draw" just so you would stop bitching and moaning?

He had a hole in the upper inside part of the plate, but had a .963 OPS middle in, and 1.640 middle down against Fastballs, so he had a hole on the upper inside part of the plate, but murdered them everywhere else inside, meaning he can hit inside fastballs, and the argument was fabrication by you,and i don't need insults and name calling to prove you wrong, because that's what you think a strong argument consists of.

The argument is legit, take the time to look through the charts away from NYS (you haven't) for Matsui, and you'll see that he sprays balls everywhere, the fact that a lot of his HR's go to RF only helps strengthen my argument. 12 of Cano's 14 HR's at NYS were also directly to RF, which is the basis of the argument. When Cano hits for power, he pulls the ball to straightaway right, so does Posada, so does Johnny Damon, i didn't use Matsui because someone who actually did research would have easily come to the conclusion that away from NYS (where he had the most success) he hit for power to all fields.

In all honesty, i'm done here, but i will beg you to please start acting your age, and make a consistent argument without sounding like a 13-year old.

Also, leave Emmz out of the argument. The only reason she jumps in is because she doesn't want me to go ape s*** because of your constant baiting and get banned, but quite frankly, if you keep this up (and you probably will) someone will get banned, and it won't be me.

Gom, that's why almost every post you've made since the past four or five days has been reportable. It's because you can't be civilized with your argument. You can't use logic and statistics, you HAVE to call someone a retard and a douche because they see through your faulty stats and distorted view on them. Seriously, you're 37 years old, act like it. No really, you're pushing 40, start acting like a 40 year old man. You're acting up to about a quarter of your age. Process out all the anger in your thoughts, think through your posts before you make them. Trust me, it works wonders. Is it necessary to call someone a douchebag? Or a retard? Is it necessary to make it personal? To dig up old, buried s***? Absolutely not.

You made a thread about toning it down, but you've been doing your best to bait a fight in the middle of a completely civilized discussion.

That's not what I remember. You lie...as usual.

Emmz jumping in to defend you is not a new occurence. Stop playing like it is. As for someone getting banned...well, last I checked...it wasn't your call. I would say something to Emmz, but she blocked me, so what's the point, lol.

Anyways, like I said, a Yankee regression is pretty much inevitbable. It's just a question of how much.

Candidates for Regression IMO:

Jeter, Posada, Swisher

Candidates for improvement:

Granderson (park and lineup effect), Johnson (park effect), ARod (health and a full ST)

Who the F knows:

Cano, Cabrera

Right on point:

Teixeira

The question is, will the improvement guys outweight the regression guys by enough of a factor to make up for the dropoff in production from 2009 Matsui and Damon to the current team. I don't know. I think our 2009 offense wasnt at full tilt until July when ARod finally was healthy enough and after he'd shaken off the rust. This lineup will go as far as they do.

What do Granderson and Johnson improving over their last years totals have to do with the Yankees offense overall regressing or improving? They didn't play for the Yankees last year.

Even if the offense drops' date=' the improved defense will make up for that. In the end, it's all about the run differential.[/quote']

How did the Yankees defense improve?

Because they're gonna play for the Yankees next year?

No need for the smugness. Anyways, they're downgrades from Matsui and Damon offensively.

So they improved by putting Melky' date=' who had a -19.2 UZR/150 in left field?[/quote']

First of all, that's a SSS.

Second, i'm assuming the Yanks are smart and play Melky in Cf and Granderson in LF.

Wow, I had no idea. You sure told me!

Matsui and Damon played for the Yankees last year, so if you're going to make a case for offensive improvement from last year to next, you're going to have to claim that Johnson and Granderson will improve on Matsui and Damon last year, not Johnson and Granderson last year.

Simple enough for ya yet?

Easy man, don't fall into his game.

Ive been expecting the Yankees to regress for like 5 years. Somehow, they still get it done. I expect more of the same....95+ wins with a postseason birth.

The only yr we regressed, we lost 2 of our middle of the order presences in Matsui and Posada, while replacing them with crap and more crap. The Yankees have been so offensively successful because they get prime production from historically weak offensive positions. Posada, Jeter, and Cano give them top 3 level production from C, 2B, and SS which means that they need less out of the rest. That being said, their two best hitters occupy the corner IF positions, but the point remains
