He's been fully rehabbed and regained significant arm strength and his velocity is better than it was when he was with the Mets before he went down with the injury. If the sox are going to go for a surgically repaired or injured pitcher, I'd prefer Pedro over Sheets, Bedard, Harden, or most others, because he is probably healthier than they are. Obviously, I would prefer a young healthy pitcher over Pedro, but that would involve a huge cost in either prospects, cash or both.
