4 runs isn't impossible' date=' this one can be won.[/quote']

With the exception of the 86 Mets, teams don't really win games like this. At least none that I remember. It's a tough spot for the Yankees, because of what happened in the first.

Does the red sox game last year vs. rays when they came back from 7 down count as one of those games?

Right now, I'm just as upset that they're going to hold CC off for a potential game seven, as I am about this game.

It just goes to shows that the Yankees don't learn from past mistakes.

well if pettitte wins game 6 then CC can pitch game 1 of the WS. if it has to go 7 then go with CC.

The Yankees are foolish if they're making decisions based on the World Series.

you still have the same thing if he pitches 6. say the yankees lose game 6 that CC pitches. what happens in game seven do you then go to pettitte. or Who. i would much rather save CC, if you win 6 with pettitte then you can have CC in Game one. if CC pitches 6 and they win who pitches game one of the WS.

Pettitte or Burnett would start game one. It doesn't matter. Even CC on three days rest, if they really wanted to. The biggest mistake the Yankees made in 2004 was not starting Mussina in game four. We'll see if they make a similar mistake this time.

didn't pitching CC on three days rest multiple times hurt the Brewers last year.

This would be his second straight time on three days rest. Last year he got hurt pitching his fourth straight game on three days rest.

Wow' date=' I thought they were going to send Molina up there. Almost lost it. Easy call to send Posada up there.[/quote']

It's Girardi. You have to hold your breathe that he makes the simplest of decisions.

:dunno: we will see what happens.

One good thing could come out of this game. Burnett might pitch well to Posada, and then if the Yankees make the World Series, Joe might put his best lineup out there.

You really think so?

:dunno: well if game six gets won by the yankees without CC on the hill i think you will be singing a different story.

Lol, I was being sarcastic. Never mind.

we gotta work Lackey in the 6th. Cause we need to get him out of this game. 70 pitches through 5 is not enough IMO against a guy who we can work.

I hope for a f***ing arctic freeze this weekend if we dont come back in this one.
