What was Girardi thinking?

He needed Robertson to finish that inning even if he had to throw the ball with his mouth!

This is the kind of thing that 228 was woried about. Girardi makes a stupid illogical move that costs the team a game. In a short series, that could be very bad news.

I f***ING HATE JOE GIRARDI.

I talked all year about how I was afraid Girardi would do something stupid in the playoffs. Well there you go. That one is for the all the f***ing idiots on this site who screamed and cried about wanting a manager gone who never missed the playoffs. Holy s***. f*** Joe Girardi.

Girardi looks like he's searching for the guy who can't do the job.

He is seriously overmanaging.

Really? How did you feel in 2004? How about the bonehead move of playing the infield in for Luis Gonzalez?

I admit, his over-managing is ridiculous.

The other problem that the Yankees have had all year is pitch selection. Throwing Vlad a fastball in with two strikes, when he was the tying run, is inexcusable.

The bone head move of playing the infield in for Luis Gonzalez? Are you f***ing serious? That is just about the dumbest thing I've ever heard. Holy s*** Gom, you can't say something that stupid, and then tell people like Jacko that they should never even bother to argue with you.

Oh yeah you are.

Even if you're not old in age. Then you're an old-timer trapped in a young body.

You, sir, are old-timey.

I think it's because you don't use lots of exclamation points, put u's instead of o's, or post pictures of cats.

I'm so much more upset about the pitch selection to Vlad, in all honesty, than I am about the decision to bring in Aceves. Girardi's decision was awful, but they lost their best chance to win when they threw a f***ing two strike fastball to Vlad. The same Vlad that chases every f***ing breaking ball in the dirt. The Yankees' have had problems with pitch selection all year, which I've mentioned numerous times on this board, and it just cost them a playoff game.

Lol, fair enough.

I actually apologize for the cursing. I don't normally do that.

it was a cutter but still the location was bad. if he got the cutter farther inside the ball would have been missed.

I really can't believe we lost this game. I can't specifically comment on what happened because I ended up falling asleep in the 8th inning (hey, long day) and didn't wake up until I heard Buck and McCarver screaming that the Angels won, but whatever it was seems like Girardi really f***ed up.

It was a fastball, and it was in off the plate. The execution was not the issue. It was the pitch selection.

I agree with this' date=' as long as the Yankees win.[/quote']

I really wish I had as much faith in the Yankees as the Red Sox fans do on this board.
