What am I making up? If you walk ARod and bring on Liriano you are in the same spot. I know everyone loves to bash Gardenhire. But he doesnt have any blame tonight.

Walk A-Rod, keep the other kid.

And this is clearly not what you said in your previous post.

They should have walked A-Rod. But in the postseason, you know that no manager is going to do that right now.

I don't know that no manager is going to do that now.

It was the clear choice, he didn't make it, and he paid for it.

And again, this is not what he referred to in his previous post.

He brought in Liriano IMO because of the hard fastball from the left. It didnt work out. I bet he would have gone to Liriano anyway if he walked ARod. He felt that Liriano vs Matsui at that juncture was better than Duensing vs Matsui. He was wrong as far as we could tell.

Hard fastball?

Liriano can barely crack 91 now.

Try again.

If the Twins showed any glimmer of hope in this series, Shitenhire would crush it like CC eating a box of Krispy Kremes. He is the X Factor if there is a close game. The Yanks should put him on the payroll, because he has won more games for them over the last 2 seasons than Girardi.

Liriano's FB has been right around 93 this game. Duensing has been right around 90

Edit: He was around 92 for most of the game, but in the 5th, he was right around 90. he was clearly tiring

Liriano was reaching back, and the difference in velocity is legendary.

Liriano, Bonser and Nathan for Pierzinski doesn't look so hot after all. The Giants went to the WS and the White Sox won a championship. Nathan has been great, except when he face the Yanks. The other two are bust-- one due to injury and the other due to sucking.

you said he could barely crack 91. You were wrong. I also said that the FB difference and the fact that Duensing was tiring was the reason why. 3mph is a big difference

CC wasnt the best he could be' date=' but boy was he good. Time for Hughes and Mo to show what they have. CLOSE IT OUT YANKEES!![/quote']Close out those Little leaguers. The $1,000 on the Yankees was money well-spent.

He can barely crack 91.

He threw two 93 MPH fastballs reaching back, straight as a pencil and one of them got hammered to CF, next inning, 91 MPH getting outs.

Fantastic.

Well, they may be over matched. But the late night, travel, no sleep should not be a factor going forward.

With that in mind, the Twins should go out whoring and boozing after the game.

When in New York.....

91,93,93,92,93,92 were the 6 FBs he threw in the 6th. So, you are wrong again

Where are you getting this velocity from?

Just found it on Gameday.

By Gameday, Liriano was hitting 93, but Duensing had been hitting 92 and 93 throughout the game, IN FACT, the fastball A-Rod hit was a 93 MPH fastball.

So much for your theory, doctor.

The "Hard stuff" from the left side huh?

In fact, Duensing even hit 94 a couple times per Gameday.

Well, i have to admit when i'm wrong huh?

Duensing- 90,91,90,92,91,89,91,92,93 - Avg FB 91mph

Liriano- 92.5mph AVG.

Its a difference and I would assume that Gardenhire thought Duensing was tiring. Which, if you go by velocity from innings prior, he was

Teixeira has not looked good tonight. He may have hit that ball hard, but he also swung at ball four. The Yankees had a great chance to blow the game open and could not capitalize.

Now, if the lead is four runs, and Hughes is not out for the 8th inning, my fears of Girardi will have proven legitimate.

there must be something in the SR on Cabrera not hitting fastballs' date=' cause he hasnt thrown the curve once[/quote']

Have you watched Hughes pitch at all this year?

Hahahahaha.

You're trying to compare Duensing's 4 innings with Liriano's 1+.

Come on, comparing a starter's and a reliever's average velocity is a "grasp-at-straws" attempt at an argument.

You can make the case that Duensing was tiring, but this is laughable.

Well, to me it's clear that the Twins are nervous.

I really think they need to relax and enjoy the experience.

With that in mind, I'm going to PM Gom and ask him to drive the Twins around trolling for whores.

Nothing like the flood of post orgasmic endorphins to loosen a guy up.

LOL.

Gardi certainly needs to get laid.
