Coke gets lucky.

I have to admit, I've had my concerns, but I love the way Girardi has managed this game. Really happy with his decisions so far.

A blind guy strapped on a Merry Go Round could manage the Yankees to victory tonight.

I'd like to thank the Yankees for picking the series which allows me to watch Jim and Pam's wedding tonight on The Office. I know that's what Girardi and Cashman had in mind when they made the selection.

Blackburn has been up and down this year' date=' but has been fantastic over his last four starts.[/quote']

Just saw some stats running on the bottomline that Tex is 6-6 with a HR, 2B, and 5 RBI career vs Blackburn. In 4 starts against NYY, he has an ERA of almost 6.00.

This could be bad.

Overall the Twins hitters, in very small sample sizes, have very little success against Burnett. They also have not be able to drive the ball, as most of the hits they've accumulated are singles.

Not really that surprising given the Twins are throwing out the likes of Punto, Tolbert, Harris, etc. Sad.

True, but against righties, their middle of the order can contend with anyones.

If Morneau was healthy of course.

Even if he's not there. Kubel absolutely destroys righties and Cuddyer has had an excellent season (he's better against lefties, but is good against righties).

Morneau being out hurts their offense, but even if Morneau were there, it wouldnt matter IMO. The story of this series will always be the twins pitching vs the yankee hitters. Barring just absolute s*** luck, you cannot reasonably think that a pitching staff of mediocre contact pitchers will reliably shut down this team 3 games out of 5. And on our side, we have 2 power pitchers anchoring the series and the third guy has actually been striking people out at a career high rate of late. So, we have the entire table stacked in our favor. The only way we lose this series is s*** luck.

If the Yankees win tonight, the Twins are going to have Pavano pitching with their season on the line.

I, for one, am looking forward to it.

Anything can happen in a best of 5.

De-inflate that giant ego.

People are never going to see this, Dipre. I've pretty much given up the argument.

I'm absolutely stunned that the Yankees were given the prime time slot of Sunday, instead of the Red Sox.

Good news for me though, because now there is no conflict between the Yankees' and the Giants.

A lot of people see it the same way as we do.

You can give up on Jacko because logic doesn't apply to the genius doctor.
