I know most of you guys hated him when he was a Bruin but MY GOD was Hal Gill ever good tonight.

 

Gill was very good since game 1. He was like a 2nd goalie out there on the ice with all the shots I watched him block.

Rumor has it the Caps and Bruins had a deal in place for Thomas at the deadline but it was called off, either by the Bruins pulling it back or by Thomas not waiving his NMC.

 

I think this proves there is a market for Timmy but I've gotta wonder why they didn't pull the trigger.

It was the trade deadline. That was before the bulk of Rask's stretch run surge. This is the group that got burnt by Toivonen, it's not too surprising they'd be interested in playing Rask a bit conservatively.

Haha, good stuff... I don't actually have an opinion on the matter. I'm an Avalanche fan and like I said, I'm going for Philadelphia, I used to love them as a kid.

It wouldn't be the 2010 Bruins season if someone wasn't going down every other game. Not Sturm's fault by any means, but the injuries this team has encountered have been like nothing I've ever seen. Gotta keep plugging away.

 

Awesome game today. I had to watch the entire freaking game streaming online due to NBC showing stupid local weather alerts all afternoon.

Even though Sturm didn't do much at all in the playoffs so far, it still sucks to lose your first line LW. He has the speed that Thornton doesn't have and he has the potential to score goals. I think its gonna be a bigger loss than most people think. It hurts the penalty kill. I read he has a 1.3 million buyout, so this could be the last of Sturm we see in a B's uniform. Its really rough, I mean he usually puts up 25 goals a year, but we will see.

Damn it, if only we had Stuart and Seidenberg, then it would have been a different series. Might not have needed that OT in Game 1 or coughed up those Briere rushes.

The Stuart and Seidenberg absences are arguably equally as important as Carter and Gagne. Getting them in there would toss out McQuaid and Hunwick (and equally as important ruin the pair I've deemed as "WideWick" - they f***ing suck together and it's an awful idea to keep them together) and add in Stuart who was a rock this season, and Seidenberg, who was one of our best players since we had picked him up.

 

I understand Carter and Gagne score the goals and blah blah blah but defense is equally as important.
