Yeah absolutely. I mean you can't fault Francona for it as those vets have come through in the past, but sometimes you just have to bench a player. Kind of like what was happening with Papi earlier on in the year.

I think that the Red Sox magic number is 12 and the Yankees is 4, instead of 11 and 3.

Just got off the phone with my buddy in Newport, R.i. He just had dinner with Ryan Westmoreland and his father and a few others... Says Westy is disappointed with injury but will definitely be ready for Spring Training.. His father is also starting a Baseball Academy in Fall River. He will be the starting RF when Drew's contract is up...
