Personally, I hope Chicago doesn't get it for two reasons:

 

1. I'd like to see the look on Mayor Daley's face.

2. The more hot Brazilian babes on my TV, the better :thumbsup:.

Obama went begging for the Olympics like some life insurance salesman. He took his wife too. They were turned away. What a humiliation! I thought the World was supposed to love this guy. What a wake up call for this guy who has made a favorite past time of kissing up to the world by bashing the US. Well, guess what fool. In their eyes, you are one of us, so they hate you too. He degraded the office by going abroad to solicit business, and he failed miserably. Good move... fool!

Im no fan of Obama, but it really doesn't bother me that he went to Copenhagen I really think too many people made a big deal out of it, now having said that Im glad Chicago didnt get it and I think Rio will do a great job and will be a great atmosphere for the Olympics.

Now thats a bit ridiculous. Oh the sacrifices she must have made to travel first class with Oprah to a beautiful country! I feel such graditude for her sacrifice lol.

It gives the opportunity to a bunch of corrupt people from around the world to rebuff the most powerful man from the most powerful country. He gave them the opportunity and they gladly took it. like I said before, I didn't vote for the man, and Im not a big fan of his policies but there are plenty of other things Id criticize him for and pitching Chicago for the Olympics isnt on the list, I see another president rapidly expanding gov't as the problem not The Pres making a meaningless speach infront of a bunch of people I care nothing about for the placing of a sporting event that in the end means very little, and Chicago didnt even get it, so what is the problem?

Political capital at home and abroad is the Chief Exec's most valuable asset. He squandered some with this. If I was advising him, I would only have recommended that he go if the bid was in the bag for the US. Maybe they thought it was in the bag. If so, someone duped them.
