Next year is UConn's year.

What do you expect out of Uconn next year? Do you think theyre capable of winning the East or at least having a chance to compete for the big east title?

Theres some decent competetion in Cincinnatti, Pitt West Va and Rutgers and who knows whats going to happen in Louisville, I think theyll come back up soon.

They had their biggest win in program history this weekend against a team Im not sure 11 of us would have a hard time beating.

The idea that Jimmy Clausen was heisman material is an embarassment to him, to the fans of Notre Dame and to the entire Heisman Committee.

This team is full of underclassmen and they have played the Big East's best teams to the final minutes all season.

I'm looking at probably the 2nd or 3rd place team in the BE at worst, and I really think they can contend for the conference title.

Nutriaitch... you making it? I watched the 2nd half of the LSU/OM game in a bar in Little Rock after our game Saturday. It was fun cheering against those bastards at Ole Miss with everyone else who was there. It's unfortunate Les Miles is a dumbass... I sure hope yall beat Arkansas but I'm definitely not counting on it. That offense is so, so bad.

If they want to get back to respectability step #1 would be firing Steve Kragthorpe. One of my best friends goes to UL and he says everyone up there HATES the guy and wants him gone. They're adding 20,000 seats to their stadium next year... Too bad no one is showing up now.

Is that the new stadium they were building? I hate louisville with a passion so I don't follow them.

They aren't building a new stadium. Just adding on to their current one.

They couldn't even fill up that one when they were good in 2006 (went to orange bowl) so I don't know why they would add on.

GO TO HELL OLE MISS!!!

YES YES YES

What a day Saturday was. I would've given anything to be there for that beating we laid on Ole Miss. It feels so, so satisfying to beat those pricks after all the crap they talked basically the entire year. "National title threat! SEC Championship bound! Snead for Heisman!". etc, etc. Bwahahaha. I know one thing, I hope Ole Miss keeps Houston Nutt around for a LONG time. Recruiting wise, who would you pick? Dan Mullen or Houston Nutt? lol

Speaking of recruiting, Cam Newton was spotted ringing a cowbell Saturday. He's the #1 JUCO QB in the nation. Lord I hope we get him. B)

y'all had a big cheering section in Baton Rouge Saturday.

our tailgate spot along with the 4 nearest to us all had y'all game on TVs on campus.

crowd grew steadily, and got rowdier as the game went on.

thank y'all for making pre-game even better than normal.

looks like we'll be Capital One Bowl bound, probably against Penn State

That's what I heard. I know it helped yall out having Ole Miss lose, but wouldn't yall pull for State anyway regardless of the bowl factor? Got a good laugh due to about 50 different schools having people post on our message board saying "Congrats. We were rooting for yall." etc. I think almost everyone hates OM.

What do you think about Les Miles? Is he safe? During the game Saturday they showed a bunch of people leaving mid-4th quarter. I couldn't believe that.

i usually root against Ole Miss, unless them winning helps us out.

yeah, Miles is safe. If we win the bowl game, he'll have four 10 win seasons in five years. If that along with a National title doesn't buy job security, we'll never find anyone willing to work here again.

As far as fans leaving, the quality of our fans has dropped drastically during the course of this decade.

Death Valley was once absolutely feared by our opponents. We always had a full house of drunk and rowdy cajuns. Now, fans leave if we're not dominating every opponent, and leave if we're up by more than 3 TDs in the 2nd half. And they rarely show up full force for games other than the big dogs of the SEC (Bama, Florida, Auburn, Georgia).

We've been spoiled by our success.

So pumped for Bama tomorrow (technically today), as they get their second crack at Florida in as many years.

Ingram has practice all week, which is good. I can only hope that last week was a hiccup, and he'll be back to his usual self. I wouldn't mind seeing the dual threat of Ingram and Richardson in the back field tomorrow, even if it's out of the wild cat formation. It's also nice that McElroy, all things considered, is probably coming off his best game of the year.

Also, run the ball right at Dunlap's vacated side.

Awful decision there by Tebow against the blitz. If Justin Woodall had been a bit more patient, it would have been a pick.

EDIT: If they're going to run out of the wildcat with Ingram, like I suggested they should last night, it should be with Richardson next to him. Take advantage of the fact that Richardson is coming into his own as of late.

Shaky series there from Rolando McClain. He wasn't aggressive enough on the first play of the drive, an eight yard run by Demps. There was no cut back lane, so there was no reason to protect against it. He should have been quicker to the edge.

Then, on Tebow's counter run, he occupied the wrong gap, opening a huge hole for Tebow. I like him a lot, but two poor plays.

EDIT: Well, I guess Ingram got his bad game out of the way last week. It was an awful play call, but it's more unlucky than anything else. McElroy didn't recognize the corner blitz and adjust, Alabama just simply had the perfect play call (as the announcers alluded to) against Florida's defense.

Step on their throat.

EDIT: Here is their chance to, for the most part, put Florida away. A field goal, thanks to the missed XP earlier, would still leave it at a two possession game. A TD might do it.

Posted

Hopefully it doesn't matter, but I disagree with Saban's decision to go for two. If you miss it, like they did, Florida can tie the game with two TDs (both with two point conversions) and a FG. On the other hand, if they just kick the XP, Florida needs three TDs.

I see what they're trying to gain, but I don't think it was worth the risk.

Posted
I understand that Saban does not have complete trust in McElroy (which really showed at the end of the first half) but considering how well he has played, I wouldn't have minded some type of play action, run pass option on third and four. So be it.

For a guy with 2 National Championships and a Heisman' date=' Tim Tebow can be a little p****.[/quote']

it took this long for people to realize this. most QBS are. Manning.
