Bad reads on balls, and his arm is atrocious. He's played good defense in previous years, but he's not getting to the same balls he was in previous years. All the metrics have him rated very poorly this year.

 

If he's not playing good defense he comes a liability. When he's on his game (defense included), he's useful, but he's nothing special.

I really didn't know that. I agree on some level. I also think that he has been hitting pretty well lately and doing a good job setting the table.
