If Tito thinks he looks extra tired, who am I say Ells isn't? :)

But yeah, I do agree in theory. Was just saying if you accept Ells is not there, Reddick as top of the lineup doesn't seem awful for one day. He's been hitting ok, at least...from what I've seen anyway.

Sometimes a guy needs a night off, but why bat Reddick lead off?

I don't know enough for a serious answer...but I'd guess because he's been hitting, thus gets on base for possible cleanup by the others...plus whatever lefty/righty stuff Tito is obsessed with...isn't that the usual reasoning?

The only other options to lead off are Pedroia and Drew. As we all know, both have been terrible in that role. I guess leading off Reddick allows everyone else to hit in the spot they are most accustomed to.

In the 17 PAs since his first two starts' date=' Reddick is .118/.118/.235 with 7 Ks. SSS, but he hasn't been hitting.[/quote']

Didn't mean he was hitting like a superstud...but he's had some good hits...considering how much some others have been slumping (overall) recently...

I like the notion of it keeping the others where they're used to being, tho, too. Sometimes it's that simple.

Excellent. Tampa Bay is going to fade away IMO. Our main playoff competition is staring us in our collective face right now

I feel the same way. I still don't believe in Texas unless they take this series from us.
