Alderson's stock as a prospect was beginning to drop.

 

Apparently his stuff was slipping, so the Giants decided to sell high on him.

 

However, is he regains his "form" the Giants s*** the bed.

I like it for Pitt. I like it a lot.

It's good for both teams. Sanchez will help the Giants make their playoff push, which is why they got him. Alderson has a chance to be a decent pitcher down the road. But that's at least 2 or 3 years away. And IMO no pitching prospect is a sure thing. It's probably a slightly better deal for the Giants because they're getting a proven player.

Hmm, i did not know that about Alderson. Still, I can't help but remember that this is the same guy who traded Liriano, Bonser and Nathan for a rental of A.J. Priezynski.
