Holiday traded to St.Louis in a 4 player deal from Oakland.

just thought id post that up for everybody.

i dont have the specific prospects but im sure someone will find them and post them up here at somepoint.

Wallace plus 2 other good prospects. This is a clear win for the A's IMO. They werent going anywhere this yr and they took Carlos Gonzalez, Greg Smith and Huston Street and turned them into a player with incredible power potential who will likely be their 3 or 4 hitter for a long time

Holliday is a good addition for the Cards. Holliday has had a pretty good July so far 325/396/518 in the last 28 days.

Just for the record, the other 2 prospects are pretty much average. They are certainly not in the "good" category.

I'm not sure the Cardinals will run away with it, but this move does probably put them over the top for the Central. That's the only thing they'll be winning though. Terrible trade for St. Louis giving up your #1 prospect for a guy who's going to walk at the end of the season. Most of my Cardinal friends are irate.

Agreed. I actually just saw Shane Peterson play Tuesday night in Tulsa. His stats (albeit a SSS) were fairly average and he didn't look all that great.

Yeah, and I don't think it was overly strong (like say the Sox or Rays) to begin with.
