I love Chris Duncan seriously. He's got some pop and has a great OBP. A guy I've always liked, injuries has just been his problem.

From ESPN.com:

Player News (last updated: July 22, 2009)

News: Duncan has been optioned to Triple-A Memphis, following a 1-for-31 slide since June 29, Matthew Leach's blog on MLB.com reports.

Spin: Duncan recently had been losing time to Nick Stavinoha in left field, plus Troy Glaus has played some left field on his rehab assignment. There's some thought that Duncan's neck has been a reason for his slump, though Duncan has denied that

What am I missing?

Opening the forum I saw "Red Sox trade Julio Lugo for..." and didn't care.

Me neither. The fact they got back a player with any kind of MLB service time is an accomplishment in itself. They were going to have to pick up all his contract anyways.

We got something other than bubblegum, baseballs, bats, or chewing tobacco for Lugo.

Epic win.

Have Ellsbury wear it and we may be on to something.

Have a hunch we're still not done.

Major roster shakeup seems to be underway, so you're probably right.

Boston's big acquisition could be a prelude to more moves for the AL Wild Card leaders. GM Theo Epstein said in a conference call this afternoon that his team will continue to be "very active" in discussions around the league, though he addressed the team's main need by adding Adam LaRoche.

Not sure what else there gonna do. Laroche keeps them from getting V-Mart IMO.

But maybe they trade Bay like I suggested earlier. I don't see them giving up on Lowrie too quick. And Tek is the Catcher for at least the rest of this year. So Bay seems to be the only one left on the offensive side that could feasibly be traded.

I guess they could be going after a Pitcher.

They could move Saito or Penny too.

It was either Duncan or literally nothing' date=' at least Duncan has some upside.[/quote']

Look at his stats the first year. They are really good (06 stats I think). I think he has potential if he starts (which he probably won't). He reminds me very much of JD Drew, only younger.

Could the White Sox trade Jermaine Dye? Could we be interested? is there enough common cause between our assets and their needs to get that done?

They could be. But someone in the OF will be heading out of town if they do. Dye isn't going to be a bench player.

Some called me crazy for it, but I think Bay could really be heading out soon.

Don't get me wrong if he stays, ok. He just better start hitting. But we will call it a " hunch" for now:D

I'd trade Bay to get Jermaine Dye. Only downside is that Dye is so much older.

But is hitting reasonably well.

Bay and a prospect for Dye and a prospect might be the best way to work this out. Then we slide Dye into left and hold onto him for a couple years, and re-up him if Reddick needs time or, heaven forbid, flames out.

HA HA HA !!! We are ecstatic that useless piece of sh#$ is out of St. Louis !!!!!

Trust me you'll be wishing Lugo was cut if Dumasss wastes a roster spot . He'll do well in AAA as always, be brought up and given multiple chances because of AAA. Meanwhile he'll single handedly lose games.

Cards fans are the fairest fans in the country and have been booing Duncan for 2 years now.

ENJOY !!!!!!!!!!
