I dont really care about the whole "bad mojo" thing but I just wish n00bs would take the time to get to know how things work around here. When I first started here' date=' I felt like I was overstepping my bounds as a new poster if I started a GT[/quote']

I've been here for quite some time, I just haven't posted much...

I agree. He'll likely post here tonight!

I already updated it.

Billy Butler has one of the ugliest stances of any hitter EVER.

But he can: "Flat. Out. Hit."

Luke Ho-Shaver huh

Ho-chee-ver.

Better not let it get to Soria

Juan Cruz has been near lights out of late as well...

Willie Bloomquist. Triple. Willie. Bloomquist. T. R. I. P. L. E.

He does lead the league in triples...

You're right' date=' I'm sure the Yankees will continue to go 13 of 15 all year from on out. Sometimes people act like we never won in 2004.[/quote']

Oh...because that has so much relevance today.

Pretty sure that one went over your head buddy. Think about it some more.

The biggest culprits seem to be Masterson (8ER in last 8IP), Delcarmen (6ER in last 7.1IP), and Ramirez (5ER in last 8.2IP). It could be that the sox pen is finally falling back to earth

How do you manage to negate all of your arguments with your own words? It's fascinating how often you do this.

Someone who finds the humor of Grandma's Boy worthy of sharing, shouldn't be lobbing insults at people for not being able to pick up on his jokes.

I think his Mom made him go shopping with her because she was concerned about how much time he's been spending alone in her basement. Maybe it's just me' date=' but I find it hard to believe a guy that says stuff as uneducated as "it's a proven fact that Dominicans are dumb" went to grad school. But that's the beauty of the internet, it lets you pretend you're anyone you want to be from the safety of your mother's basement.[/quote']

How someone can seriously hold themselves up on a pedestal when they revert to such banalities is also staggeringly hard to believe.

You're totally right. I believe Julio Lugo can play defense Nick Green can hit because previous performance doesn't matter. While we're at it, why not count on Mark Kotsay to put up Pujols numbers! :wetodd:

Dude, previous performance matters. It matters A HELL OF A LOT in any sport.

I am sorry, but I am at a total loss for words reading the s*** that you manage to bang away on your keyboard.

You have even managed to include the wetodd emoticon, which last made its appearance when the twelve-year-old sim league faction managed to drive it into the ground.

To make his point more clear for you, while the Angels historically play the Yankees very well, that itself is no guarantee the trend will continue. The 2009 Angels are not nearly as strong of a team as they have been for the past five years.

No, that's ridiculous to predict a 3 game sample size. But the Angels play the Yankees tough, and the Yankees will have to travel across the country to play them.

But you seriously think the Red Sox will lose this series to the Royals based on one game? I didn't hear you saying that before we lost tonight.

No one's assuming anything. We're just saying we're in good shape given past history. It's not like we're making excuses, we have the same record as the Yankees.

That's not what you said though, you said "The Yankees will lose this weekend because the Angels are their Kryptonite".

I don't think we lose this series. I think we split.

I don't think I ever said the Yankees will lose for sure. But travelling across the country to play a team that traditionally plays them very well is as good a chance for them to lose as any.

The Yankees might lose the series this weekend because the Angels are a good team, and the Yankees are on the road. Those points are true. However, the fact that the Angels have played the Yankees tough for the last X number of years would not be a reason why the Angels won the series (if in fact they do). Different players, different year, different circumstances.

I never said that the fact that the Angels have played the Yankees tough, would be the reason the Angels win the series. I just said that the Angels traditionally play the Yankees tough, their aggressive style of play hasn't suited the Yankees well, and the Yankees will be traveling across the country.

All factors in the series, though no one's saying those are the reasons the Angels might win.

Well, I actually think the time difference might not have that much of an effect. They're not flying directly out there. They just played three games in the central time zone, so the difference is less than usual.

And, if you weren't saying those are reasons why the Angels would win in previous posts in this thread, than I apologize, because that's how I read it.

Crespo, why are you so angry? I mean, seriously, think about it. What is going on in your life that causes you to be so grumpy? Maybe you should go outside, have a beer, meet some girls, see a band or something man. Deep down, do you really want to reduce yourself to signing onto an internet forum once a day to take out your frustrations from behind a computer screen? Come on, nothing is worth being this miserable.

Cheer up buddy!

I find the civilized conversation between a Sox fan and a Yankees fan unusual. But refreshing.

I see the Yankees prevailing 2 of 3. The Angels are battered and the Yankees are still hot. I hope the Sox can find a way to clobber K.C. pitching. It would suck to go into the break a couple of games down.

Haha, to be honest, I don't think I've had too many uncivilized conversations with Red Sox fans here.

I have to say, Yankees228 gives Yankees fans a good name. He's a really great poster here. We were talking in a Yankees game thread their last game and I don't think we had a disagreement once.

I've been concerned about the Sox bats for several weeks. Pedroia, Drew, Youk, and now Bay. Their slumps have come at a time of unfortunate convergence of circumstance. It seems that with the injuries and facing unfamiliarity pitching ( the young arms we've seen in the last 5-6 series) have conspired to negate our normally potent offensive attack. I really don't know for sure. I just want it to end very soon.

id have to say of all the yanks fans here you would be by far the most coherent and civilized.

Of course I didn't realize both Vladdy and Hunter were just put on the DL when I said that... :(

Detente. It's a lovely thing.

Seriously, it's good to see intelligent debate and discussion with out it all turning ugly.
