I'm just pointing out to him Lirano's awful right now. Acevas Era is like 3. Yankees are hot right now. It's sports teams can be had. Trying to reason with a unreasonable fustrated poster TheKilo.. my bad.

Liriano is better than Hochevar.

When you say "The Angels are the Yankees Kryptonite" or "The Angels are the most successful team this decade" or "The Twins have gone 12-40 against the Yankees since 2002" you're projecting future results based on past performance.

With individual players, fine. But you're doing it with teams is my point.

You said past performance bears no influence on current results. So obviously you think Eric Hinske has as much a chance to hit 30 home runs in the second half as Albert Pujols, and you think the Orioles can play as well as we did in the first half, and you think the Nats could have the best record in baseball in the second half.

Previous performance matters. To say it doesn't was one of the dumbest comments I've heard on this site. I feel like you could have made your argument (whatever it is) 100x more logically.

No' date=' all I'm saying is don't bank on them being the solution, either.[/quote']

Do you have a better alternative?

If one of them can return respectably, it'll help tremendously though.

Sorry i misunderstood what was going on as well. Let us carry on.

So what?

Would you rather they keep Lowell and Lowrie on the DL?

That statement reeks of knee-jerk.

They won't fix all that is wrong with this team.

But let's face it: Nick Green and Mark Kotsay suck.

Exactly. A lineup where Varitek hits say 8th rather then 7th is a huge difference.

According to what (remember, you claim past performance doesn't matter)?

Do you really not get what I am trying to say?

What does the Angels team of 2002 have to do with this year's squad?

What does the Twins team of 2003 have to do with this year's team?

Holy f*** between arguing with you and Dojji I feel an aneurysm coming on.

Trade for Brandon Wood.

They have glaring holes that need fixing or they will be on the outside looking in come October.

Here's the thing.

If one of them come back to full health (which is a possibility), then we only have one hole to fill.

Wood would be perfect, because he can play both 3rd and short.

But really:

Lowell and Wood>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Kotsay and Green.

Lowrie and Wood>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Kotsay and Green.

Lowell and Lowrie>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Kotsay and Green.

I'm doubting Halladay gets moved, actually.

No one's saying the Angels are going to play the Yankees well because they did 7 years ago. They always kill the Yankees including a 7-3 record against the Yankees last year.

No one said the Twins will bow down the Yankees because of how they played in 2003. They alwasy suck against the Yankees including a 0-7 agaist them this year.

If you feel a certain way, make a logical argument that proves your opinion. Don't say something as ignorant as "previous performance doesn't matter" because it very clearly does in baseball.

How about Michael Young?

No way the Rangers trade Young.

They're a threat in that division, and their Andrus/Young left IF combo is a huge part of that.

How can I possibly prove your overactive sarcastic comments wrong? Make a definite statement, and then I'll prove you wrong.

IDK, word is out that the Rangers are going into debt with that team and need to lose some salary. Young might be more available than he looks,

Hicks is broke.

But i doubt he's gonna f*** with the revenue he's gaining from the current success of his team.

Moving Young might actually cost him money, and i'm sure he knows this.

I couldn't think of anything more profound.

It did though, didn't it? The offense has been terrible as of late.

dont forget the bullpen, the bullpen has sucked big floppy donkey dick recently
