Injury? Rustiness on the onset of a new season?

The long awaited regression to the mean?

I would be very, very concerned if I am a Yankee fan - starters of his supposed caliber have maybe one of these starts every year or two and he's had three in a row.

I would assume they skip his turn next week to avoid pitching in Fenway, but what happens then? DL stint?

I was checking out Wang pitching earlier in the morning, and from what i can tell, there's a bit of difference from his current and old windup, i can't quite put my finger on it, but i'll keep checking it out to see if there's some sort of mechanical flaw with Wang.

concern .... yes

very concern ......not yet

Injury? Rustiness on the onset of a new season?

I find peace in the fact it doesn't appear to be injury

so I'm going with rust / mechanical

The long awaited regression to the mean?

could be,

but it's a little to drastic of a change imo

clev has pretty much owed him anyways

I would assume they skip his turn next week to avoid pitching in Fenway,

girard i did say that's possable

but what happens then? DL stint?

the old fake / dice K injury thing ....if needed

but I'm thinking

there's just as good as a chance they find

something on tape tomorrow , followed by a good BP

and the worm killer is back in biz

what the he .......ll is wrong with my mirror

What I've seen is that he isn't getting on top of the ball. He actually hadn't given up a single hit on his sinker when it sunk. Everyone of his hits came when his sinker tailed away from lefties and in to righties. It's like his sinker became a screwball, or running fastball.

The problem was that his ball didn't sink, and he was throwing around 90 MBH and leaving meatballs ovrer the heart of the plate. He has just lost the grip on his sinkerball and can't throw it consistently.

Jacko would have you believe Wang's sinker is 94Mph+ at all times lol

Mechanical flaw. 9 months without pitching. He wasn't exactly light outs at ST either.

UPDATE, 1:51 p.m.: Here’s the exact quote from the pregame from Girardi on Wang:

“We looked at his hands break, his leg kick where his head is and if it’s on line, the angle of his arm. We haven’t had a chance to discuss it with him yet. We had some healthy stuff that we saw and we understand that we need to make some adjustments. … Physically there are some things I think we need to correct that’s leaving him up in the zone. I just really believe no matter who you were, whether you won four Cy Youngs, it would be difficult to go through.”

and then the type that makes one scratch their head

And Mr. Wang said:

“Nothing is wrong. … I watched the video and everything is the same as last year

6 starts between their 1@2 guys and 10 runs or more have been scored in 5 of these games, the 1 game when 10 wasnt scored was against KC.

Burnett has been as good as can be expected.

Steve""the yanks have the best staff in baseball"" Phillips should join Bill Buckner in Idaho after making such a stupid comment in front of the baseball tonight audience.

I figure Sabathia to come back and keep NY in most of his starts but Wang looked like the little Chinese girl about to be double teamed by John Holmes and that black dude with the ivory bone pierced thru the head of his dick...

His confidence level has been shot, stabbed and left for dead.

Trenton is on fire and they have Kennedy, Hughes and Igawa waiting in the wings.

How long is this guy going to pollute the field before he gets sent packing?

Meanwhile that stadium is rather pitiful for a home field advantage, do they pipe the sound in?

I saw so many empty seats up front i was wondering if they were playing an exhibition game and the quitness is just amazing...

Those who paid 2500.00 a seat deserve this as much as the Fredo brothers.

You dont even have to get on top of these guys to have the crowd grow quiet.

That place has indeed priced the average fan out of the game and it has taken a place that was once a tremendous home field advantage and turned it into f***ing Brighams or for you Latte drinkers think of Starbucks...

Im amazed at how quiet that place was even yesterday inspite of Michael Kaye's incessant ballwashing after Posada's Jeff Maier homerun and I havent heard Suzy Waldman that excited since Raja Clemens appeared in the owners box and announced his comeback in 2007.

The tax payers of NYC must be enthralled by funding this piece of human excrement and seeing thousands of empty seats inspite of the team dropping 500,000,000.00 in the offseason.

Crunchy's posts have had me in tears lately.

Wow, things keep going this way and we may see Yankee fans start talking begin lamenting (again) over Cash and Co. NOT making the Santana deal a couple years back.

Not much time here, in Cancun, but seeing that line nearly made me vomit. If it is similar to his first two starts, he must then be leaving that sinker up as usual. Just like with DiceK, something isnt right and he shouldnt be sent out there when he is obviously meat. We have enough short term options to get us through this

At least Dice-K has a non-structural injury issue to fall back on

Hmmm, a literary student might think there is symbolism in the bolded comment above, i.e. your words are worth s***.

But looking closer, seems you've actually chosen "Sienna" as your hue of choice.

Thienna..it'ths a wuvwy cowor.

Burnt Sienna, Pumpkin Orange and Margenta are colors that a psychiatrist dreams about discussing.

As ive said 10xs here, burnett was the pick of the litter and if he stays healthy will be their #1 come september,i cant see sabby sucking this bad all year but i do think he was over worked, over paid and unhappy having to pitch in ny...I do think wang is an issue that wont be solved anytime soon, i think petitte is over the hill and i think joba is a volatile young man who has too much david wells and not enuff jonathan paplebon to reach his peak...Their bullpen is f***ing atrocious with rivera being the exception and once again they will need their offense to score a ton for them to be a division competetitor and they do have the sticks to stay in the hunt...

Same old song and dance that can be cured by a young guy in trenton having the ability to walk into the clubhouse and give them 175ip of sub 4.50 er...anything short of that and ny is sucking hind tit again.

anyone want to call mexico and get jackson cavity searched by the fedarali's??

id love to see a 600lb woman named carmen with long fingernails put on the rubber gloves due to a tip she got from the states.
