I'll take it. So would you.

Props to Tex for running hard all the way.

He always does. The guy hustles 100% of the time. Unreal how he went from being a luxury to being the center of our offense and an example for others to follow in 2 months.

I agree. Youkilis likely scores on that ball too, but Manny or Ortiz are standing at 3rd.

That said, a pathetic, a FREAKING pathetic way to lose a game for the Mets. Weak. Should be a 3 game lead for the Sox.

Someone should see if Castillo had a bet on the Yankees winning the game or something. MLB 2Bs just don't make that error, and certainly not in that situation. In reality it is a tough play (a MLB pop-up, and A-Rod really popped it up) but that's an excuse (on a very limited basis) for a GCL player, not an MLB regular.

It was definitely a terrible play by Castillo, but one thing that gets lost in all of this was where the hell was Ryan Church? He could've easily come in and called him off. He's gotten off the hook when instead of coming in, he was jogging toward Beltran to get ready to give him a high five.

Sure it was, but it was up in the air for a LONG time and if Church is coming in, it would be an easier play for him to get it.

MLB 2B should make that play 100 out of 100 times, whether the RF takes it or not. If he is making the play, it is 100% catchable.

The Mets rebounded from the error with a 17 hit spanking of the Yankees. The Yankees looked like crap today. They dropped 3 in a row to the Sox, got extremely lucky yesterday and took a beating today. It's not a good sign for them that their pitching has gotten beaten up for two games in a row by a Met offense that doesn't have a lot of punch without Delgado and Reyes.

Johan is stinking for the Mets so far. 4-0 Yanks' date=' top 3rd.[/quote']

He is pitching well. Cervelli or w.e. his name is fought of a good pitch and had a weak hit with 2 outs to extend the inning.

What a day to see at the Stadium. I have to admit, it was such a gorgeous day, I left in the 6th inning.

It was 13-0 at that point anyways.
