For the U.S.:

GK: Tim Howard

D: Carlos Bocanegra, Oguchi Onyewu, Jay DeMerit, Steve Cherundolo

M: Landon Donovan, Ricardo Clark, Michael Bradley, Clint Dempsey

F: Charlie Davies, Brian Ching

I hate Clark and think he is a waste. Feilhaber should be starting. Altidore should also be starting over Ching.

Will you ever beat Mexico in their own back yard?

I haven't seen the game so I won't comment till I have.

Any Revo fans on here?

Could have today. Davies was whistled offsides on a goal, but Mexico did outplay us.

f***ing Bob Bradley subs in KENNY COOPER + STUART HOLDEN!

Other than Landon Donovan, who could play in Europe, MLS players should be banned from the roster.

Tim Howard does a pretty good job at Everton though, he's a good keeper.

That he is, Everton also had Brian McBride who was a quality player but surely we can't be forgetting about Brad Friedel! Quality keeper.

Any more news on Altidore to Hull?

Everton's midfield and defense were f***ing atrocious.

I bet yesterdays match has knocked a few million off the price of Lescott if Moyes does decide to sell to Man City.

Good to see Altidore getting some playing time in the EPL.

Chelsea destroyed Burnley, 3-0. No surprise.

Liverpool had to come back on Bolton. 3-2.

Man U and Arsenal are all squared at 0-0. Arsenal looks better than Man U.

So far so good for my city boys. The second half play against the wolves wasn't great' date=' but the win against Barcelona in the friendly at Nou is very encouraging.[/quote']

I picked them over my team, because let's face it, Portsmouth is awful, and Man City at -200 is a pretty good bargain.

So, I'm kind of a casual soccer fan. Don't really know a lot in depth or anything, but I've loved watching the past two World Cups in '02 and '06 and would like to get into the EPL a little bit. The problem: I don't have a favorite team, and I don't exactly know enough about all the clubs background and such to narrow it down. Obviously I wouldn't want to go the Man United or Chelsea route, so could yall help me out a little bit? I'm pretty stoked about the 2010 World Cup and would like to improve my soccer knowledge before that gets going.

Tottenham, Everton, Aston Villa, or Fullham are all pretty good clubs on the rise.

I picked Portsmouth, because my favorite player is Crouch, but he's gone, and so is all of our other good players. They held City to one goal today, but they look like a possible relegation candidate.

Thanks, that's something to think about.

I know I'm throwing out a bunch of questions, but:

1. How do the contract situations and stuff work? I've always heard about transfers, etc, but don't really know the ins and outs of it.

2. Do they have a salary cap? What do they go by?

Go for Liverpool FC mate; amazing history, most passionate fans in the world and the best midfielder in the world (Steven Gerrard).

Still the most succesful club in English history and you're guaranteed to have exciting soccer every week. Liverpool have been involved in the best Champions league and FA Cup finals to date.
