so its the first 9 years that determines who's the better player?

Pujols will NEVER touch what bonds did in 2001,2002,2003,2004

in witch he posted OPS of 1379,1381,1278,1422

Bonds career OPS 1051

Pujols career OPS 1056

we'll se how pujols does when he's in his mid 30's , I"m pretty sure he wont be anywheres close on what Bonds did at that age

I wouldn't say Pujols is by far the better player , Its pretty close

when Pujols career is done will have a better idea

Comparing first 9 years to state a point is by no means a statement that Pujols could end up being better than Bonds.

I fail to see why you got your panties in a bunch, specially since the comment wasn't directed at you and you obviously (and typically) misinterpreted the post.

Same goes to a700.

You just need to take the post for what it's worth.

Now that the Sox game is over, you should turn over and watch the Rangers and Angels. Huge series in the AL West as LAA leads Texas by 1 1/2 games. I've always kind of liked the Rangers and would love to see them win the division, or at least stay in the race for the whole season.

Angels lead 5-2 in the 8th.

Tim Lincecum threw a CG 2 hit shutout (8 K's) @ St. Louis tonight. Sick.

Also, the Rockies and Dodgers are just getting underway too. That's another pretty huge series. Go Rockies.

So Wolf and his catcher were just walking off the field after he K'ed the 8 hitter for the SECOND out in the 3rd inning.

And the camera crew started going to commercials.

Hilarious.

Then you obviously haven't compared Bonds' and Pujols' 1st 9 years in the league.

Pujols is by far and away the better player......and it's not even close.

It's about the first 9 years of their careers.

So you went and did the exact same thing.

Re-read the post.

This sentiment has been thrown around but it's one I share...why is Manny being celebrated so much? You have guys like Clemens, Bonds and McGwire who were all immediately shunned from the game after word got out that they're using, but Manny's return is a big event, as if he was just hurt for two months.

Rays @Texas for the third game in a great series for the Rangers is about to start and it looks like it'll be a shootout with the great offenses the 2 teams have but the Rays have the edge with the better starter in Garza facing off against Feldman but it looks like itll be a great game and it is on ESPN being that some of you do not have the extra innings package

Rangers @ Angels is 1-0 Angels ^4 with 2 outs and Lackey seems to be pitching very well, which is a good sign for the Angels who have had a rough year for their rotation seeing E.Santana and Lackey on the DL and the untimely death of youngster Nick Adenhart

Game Details: Juan Rivera gets a solo homer in the home side of the 4th inning making it 2-0 Angels, Aybar singles to right Izturis scores 3-0 Halo's bottom o' the 4th. Andruw Jones 3 run homer in the top of the 5th to tie it 3-3, Hank Blalock takes home on a passed ball Rangers up 4-3, Saltalamachia singles to right center Byrd and Murphy score 6-3 Rangers in the away side of the 5th Saltalamchia takes 2nd on the throw, and the Halos take Lackey out.

Lackey really blew up in the 5th.

yeah dissapointing for me being that he is on a couple of my fantasy teams and id like to take him off the DL.

thats a bad f***up by salty there.

It's hard for me to know who to root for in this game. Texas is leading the Wild Card, but they're only a game back of the Angels. If Lackey doesn't pitch well, that could potentially be good for the Red Sox.
