"John Smoltz will be the best pitcher in the AL come September"

Full of s***

Jeez...spending an awful lot of time and effort arguing against what you've declared is a dumbass prediction. Why?

Because Smoltz could throw a monkey wrench into Jacko's own personal agenda.

Deported from where, genius?

I live in D.R, not USA, i've said it like 1,000 times.

I do apologize for the Jacko comparison.

However, you are very biased, and you misunderstood my statement and turned it around for the pleasure of your interpretation.

So keep mowing my lawn and STFU.

Don't lie. You came over here on a floating door.

Please get your stereotypes right. We work at gas stations. You work at the diner and do landscaping.

You can't even get THAT right. :harhar:

He just had reconstructive shoulder surgery. Does anyone think that this might be a massive deterrent to a 41 yr old pitcher?

A massive detriment? No. When and if he pitches for Boston, it's because he has recovered from that surgery. Many athletes have shoulder surgery and are back and all right after a little while. In fact it might even improve his performance if it's something he's needed to get done for awhile but was trying to tough-guy his way through.

Then pump my gas, bitch!

And as far as Jacko goes, why are we still arguing with him when it's clear he's just scared of the awesomeness that John F'ing Smoltz is going to bring to the Boston Red Sox.

Charlie Sheen in Major League 3! *Cues up Wild Thing*

And what does your crystal ball say?

Gammons HOF writer- Jacko 13K posts on Talksox.....

All Gammons did was try and be interesting and different for his spot on BBTN. Any Stooge can say Halladay or any other obvious choice. But it make for a pretty boring segment.

If he had said any Yankee pitcher, you'd be lapping it up and saving your spot for the Championship parade...

Yeah, that's the way I see it. If sports writers went with the safe choices all the time, things would get awfully boring.

Wasn't Major League 3 the 'back to the minors' one?

Yes- I stand corrected, it was Major League 2 I was referring to:

Rick 'Wild Thing' Vaughn (Charlie Sheen)

The star pitcher of the Cleveland Guardians in the first film has lost his edge and has become more business-like and professional in both appearance and personality. His new girlfriend (Alison Doody) is responsible for this transformation and Vaughn has lost his distinct haircut, endorses products such as Right Guard deodorant, and he even names his pitches. This change affects his game negatively and his old girlfriend (Michelle Burke) helps him regain his former edge. As before, his signature entrance is set to a hard rock cover of The Troggs' hit song "Wild Thing", performed by the Los Angeles-area punk band X.

Everyone knows that if Smoltz signed with the Yankees, Jacko would be gobbling his dick all day every day and gushing about how he's a health lock and will be the ace of that staff come September, and how that is another sign of the Yankees setting the win record in 09.

Alas, he's on the Red Sox, so that just means Smoltz will be hurt and ineffective.
