Thank you for helping me mak my point. Boston doesn't have all of those things' date=' making Fenway probably the biggest tourst attraction in Boston by default. To a sports fan visiting New York, Yankee Stadium has the same level of significance that Fenway does for the same sports fan visiting Boston.[/quote']

I can agree with that but you said Yankee Stadium is a premiere tourist attraction in NYC which I disagree with. It's a second-tier tourist attraction, like the museums and the Lincoln Center

Isn't the point that Fenway attracts more non-baseball fans than Yankee Stadium?

When I think New York, statue of liberty is front and center

Yankee Stadium, a tourist attraction, you bet. But the premier tourist attraction of New York City? Nope

Are you guys kidding me? Boston is a smaller city with a much smaller population and way fewer attractions. n the biggest' date=' most populated city in the world when you have so many alternative attractions not everyone is gonna be intrested in going to a ballgame. But don't get it twisted, Yankee Stadium is/was a premiere tourist attraction i this city. We just have a much larger sample size of tourists. THAT'S FACT, buddy.[/quote']

Right and this millennium, the Red Sox have a MUCH larger sample-size of post-season victories, not to mention 2 World Series trophies, while the choking Yankees have ZILCH . The Red Sox are a much better team and organization than the Yankees. Every team in the Red Sox minor league system had a winning record this year and the Sox have more prospects in the top 100 than the Yankees do. All the Yankees do is spend more money...and have a larger capacity stadium. Let's give a BIG hand to the builders of Yankee stadium for putting more crappy seats in their stadium! At least the Yankees can beat the Red Sox in something.

They'll go to the Empire State Building, Broadway, the Statue of Liberty, Wall St, but not the Bronx. NY is much bigger than Boston and the Bronx is an outer borough, so tourist, unless they are Yankee fans, will not go to the Bronx. Fenway is in Boston proper, and Boston is a smaller city. A greater percentage of Boston tourists will visit Fenway. I have known many non-Red Sox fans who have taken the tour.

What does the postseason have anything to do with what we're talking about? And as for the Yankees affiliates, AAA Scranton/WB won the IL, beating Pawtucket in the playoffs. AA Trenton won the Eastern League. How many Red Sox affiliates won their league's respective championships? NONE. How many Red sox affiliates finished first? 2, Lancaster and Lowell. Trenton, Scranton, and Staten Island all finished first. Edge Yankees. The Yankees collective minor league win percentage this season was .582 compared to the Red Sox .547. Edge Yankees. And I dont quite understand your point about the Yankees building more "crappy seats." The amount of tier and bleacher seats in the new Stadium have greatly decreased, as most of the seats are those high-priced premium seats. Burn. Now go f*** off troll, and next time get your facts right.

That's Rays fans for ya. That's happened 8 times since 1999.

Wait' date=' why the f*** are minor league affiliates in the discussion?[/quote']

That's a very good question, I didn't start it but I had no problem finishing it.

A+ post, would definitely read this again if presented with the choice of either reading it again or not reading it again.
