Its just different this year. Last year we had a clicking Manny and Ortiz, and a dominit Beckett. Nobody is hitting well right now.

If we lose by 1 or 2 runs I'm gonna wish that he got hurt on that play.

That doesn't f***ing matter. He came up small, in the postseason, AGAIN.

 

I'd prefer to have talented pitchers over nice guys who get their s*** kicked in every 5th day.

I may have wished that Julio Lugo suddenly had a mid life crisis and decided to be a painter or a jazz pianist, but not get hurt.

the one thing that I will feel bad about, even though I am a diehard yankee fan, is that Wakefield's career may have ended with one of his worst outings. That may be the last time you see him suit up in the bigs.

No, I haven't. Wishing someone was hurt is about as low as it goes. You're 14 or so, so I won't call you a tool, but you should learn that wishing injury on people will draw lots of negative attention to your character.

I'll take our position over yours....but whatever makes you feel better.....must be frustrating knowing you have a tough road to finish above 3rd next season....and for the forseeable future

Money solves all woes. We'll buy ourselves in next year.

 

Seriously, the AL East can end up with three teams with 95 wins next year. It's going to be ridiculous.

It's definitely still hurt. The choice was play through the condition and get surgery in the offseason or get surgery immediately and hope he was back by the playoffs. The tendon on his wrist is no longer in the sheath. It's moving across the bone and cause some irritation and clicking / popping feeling. This is similar to what happened with Schilling's ankle, although not as severe.

 

Cue the Yankee Spin Dr's assessment of career ending injury in 3, 2, ......
