Ha

i laid 24 with usc last night and knew i was done at the half

so i laid 14.5 on usc in the 2nd half thinking theyd make a game of it.

they grab the 2 quick tds and im watching the dwarf 1/2 back run wild,State then scores but blows the PAT....

then i grab the back door td and cover the 14.5 via a 21-6 2nd half score....

I am feeling very fortunate this morning

Eh' date=' I still think USC will play in the National Championship game this year.[/quote']

It will take a big upset loss from several teams to make that happen, IMO. There's nobody left on USC's schedule to point to as a win that will impress the BCS system. I can agree with the point that the SEC will cannibalize itself and nobody goes undefeated there, same with the Big 12. But with 7 of the top 10 in those conferences, those losses are more likely to come at the hands of ranked foes.

They'll need favors.

But it's late losses that kill you, no matter the foe. And as long as USC only loses one game and still wins the Pac 10, they're not going to get beat out by a team that didn't win it's conference. It's possible the SEC winner will have two losses again.

Weak losses in a weak schedule are worse than late ones.

i had cuse +15 today starting to blow it...

up 11 a quarter ago now down 3... crumbling before me

330 got purdue +1 @ ND and tennesse +7 @ auburn

purdue should win outright and auburns offense is bad enough that tennesee can score 14-17, lose, and cover

But USC loses an early conference game every year and they're still in the discussion until they lose their second one late. They won't fall that far back, and they'll slowly creep up as the teams ahead of them get knocked off one by one.

What if Ohio State wins the Big Ten, West Virginia wins the Big East, and a two loss team wins the SEC? All of those entirely possible...

Huge turn of events just a bit ago in the Indiana/MSU game. 97 yard TD negated by a holding call in the endzone, which is a safety.

Ole Miss up 24-17 over Florida.

So, anyone agree with me that Alabama is the #1 team in the nation now? I think they are better than the Sooners. Of course Oklahoma will be #1 in the polls come Monday, but if they played tomorrow I would pick the Tide.

Oklahoma has the best qb in the nation and actually has a lot of balance on both sides of the ball.

bama is up and coming but will not finish unblemished in the sec,too long a road and a lot of guys lack the experience.

saturday was simple

mark richt vs saban

31-0 at the half should tell georgia fans exactly what their coach is all about when compared to the big boy coaches, richt loses big game after big game and everyone acts surprised, why?

Georgia is top 10 material

bama maybe top 5 material

oklahoma is the best team in the nation and they may end with Lsu on their ass come january.

Nice efforts by navy, oregon state and the mississippi rebels who had their states biggest win in 40 years..Good job by Houston Nutt who i think is one of the more innovative minds in the college game.

They weren't heralded as much going into the season, but the Longhorns have looked good against those they should have looked good against. The Red River Shootout on October 11 will be an event again this year (provided both can take care of business this weekend).

Really? The statistical case doesn't favor your argument, but that could just be Stoops' system. I like Stafford. He's got a really good arm and he can make all the tough throws. Deep outs, the hard seam between levels, you name it. To be honest, I've had the Sooners on the tube in the background a couple of times on the weekend, but I never stopped what I was doing enough to pay attention to Bradford, so I couldn't tell you about how I think he looks. So, the only comp I can make is on paper, and it's not close.

Ou hasnt really played anyone but Georgia's guy has played ASU Bama and Fresno and hasnt put up the #s you would think a preseason #1 teams qb with a heisman candidate at half back would put up.

then again his offensive line is simply offensive and this coach who always has the tool box full just doesnt get his kids to play 60 minutes every week.

They were the hottest team in the country a few years back when they played west virginia in the sugar bowl and were down 30 at the half, this week the same thing happened, they blinked and bama had them down 30 again...100,000 drunken inbred rednecks that eat sleep and s*** football in attendence and your not ready to play??

God

Family

Georgia Football.

and mark richt is down 31-0 at home at the half?

I dont have the ability to see what may have been or what could be due to the pounding he takes but they say he has a strong arm and is smart and if thats the case he should be in the nfl..

Sam Bradford for the sooners is a sophmore who will own every single record in the ncaa if he stays 4 years, they have a tit schedule and the only worry they should have is the texas game where they will be a double digit favorite...

I like ttech this year as a sleeper but Missou in the only team that can give o/u a run and i dont think they play each other, perhaps in the conference championship game they will play.

Its a lot easier to be a good looking QB in the big 12. Everything is open.

As far as Stafford's #'s? Anybody know who he is throwing to?

Stafford won't win a heisman. He WILL win a decent draft slot.

Posted
Don't know who he was throwing to the first few weeks, but the true freshman Green has been his primary target the last two. That kid is a prototype receiver. Big, tall, fast, good hands.
Posted

yeah- really helped him out on that pass he GAVE to the other team. Green will be good, but he's still young. There are no Percy Harvins in GA...

His tight end f***ing sucks.

Fyi on Sam Bradfords#s

2008 stats: 4 games, 83 of 115 passing for 1,293 yards, 16 TDs, 2 INTs; 8 rushes for -27 yards, 1 TD.

72% completion rate at 15.5 yards per reception?

I understand that their level of competetion is way inferior to georgias but these #s are against d-1 teams.

Based on the schedule they have texas in austin then they got kansas and ttech at home and the only road game that should test them at all is nebraska in november but the cornboys havent been good in a long time,ou will beat them by 35.

they will play missou in the big 12 championship and if they escape from that game unscathed they go to the championship game undefeated.

Lsu is undefeated and are the reigning champs, they have a hellacious schedule to play as well

bama is #2

Nothing is easy in the Sec

nothing.

True point, nothing is easy in that conference. That said, Bama's remaining games are about as soft a remaining schedule you could hope for after winning a big one in your conference opener.
