Boston Globe:

DETROIT -- It's raining in Detroit, with the tarp on the field, though it's looking like they'll get this game in. Might be delayed a bit, but the forecasts are looking more promising than they were earlier in the day.

I don't like tonight's lineup. If you are going to sit down one of you big on-base guys and table-setters for Papi and Manny, Tito should have moved Youk up to the second slot to set the table. I don't get putting Lowrie in that slot.

Shame this kid has an innings limit, I could see him being the best on the staff come October.

Yeah, and Galaraga seems to be getting the call at the knees. I think that has something to do with his pitches having more vertical movement so they appear "higher".

Pitch f/x seems to be down on Gameday, and I'd love some credible data on the location of strikes 2 and 3 to Ellsbury.

My cynical observation is that the MLB-paid operator ceases reporting Pitch f/x results when the umpire is blatantly biased.

Something's got to be wrong with his FB tonight, not locating it or something, because he needs to throw one at some point.

Entering tonight, Buchholz has a career OPS allowed 173 points higher with runners on base than with bases empty. He struggles pitching from the stretch--it may be issues throwing the fastball from the stretch.
