that might be the worst call I've ever seen...almost perfectly down the center of the plate...no call

Notably, MLB.com Pitch F/X overrode the system and just placed the pitch arbitrarily where the umpire called it.

OK.. I missed the run that Manny scored. The 3rd base coach was showing the stop sign, then Manny slides at home and (through the s***** replay going to comercial) it looked like there wasn't even a throw.

Why was he telling Manny to stop?

Becuase Maggs had the ball when Manny rounded third.

Now he's doing his best Gagne impression.

I don't feel very good right now with Sheffield at bat in this situation. Uggghhhh.

EDIT: Thank the f***ing Lord for...Lugo?

Sigh, I hate to have to use Papelbon after being up by so much. Oh well.

Yeah! That freakin' throw he makes right on the money? He ought to jump in the air on "routine" plays. Maybe that would solve his throwing issues.

Paps best not be back in.

Sounds like he'll be back. He hasn't pitched in a few days. They probably want to give him some throws, but I'd rather have him for tomorrow. Maybe top 9 will be short.

And NESN sucks. That ridiculous sound when a pitch is over a certain velocity and when someone scores...stupid.

Right after I read you post, Don and Jerry realized there was a sound for certain pitches! Hilarious!!!

Solid game by Casey

No surprise here, Bryan Corey has been DFA'd to make room for Timlin. The bullpen now looks like

Long innings- Julian Tavarez

Lefty specialist- Javier Lopez

Middle relief- David Aardsma

Mike Timlin

Set Up- Manny Delcarmen

Hideki Okajima

Closer- Jonathan Papelbon

It feels like you and I are the only people who never took a shot at him last season...

Hey, I wear my love for JD drew on my sleeves, even through the bad times. Even through the .200-and-2-HR's-through-last-june times.

You know, thinking back, all I can say now is I was wrong about my thoughts on J.D. Drew. Maybe he just needed to settle into Boston. He's really gotten a lot better, and I'd like to see him continue.
