Mojo of the day:

I got tickets to the Dave Matthews Band concerts coming up in late June at the Tweeter Center. I'm pumped. And so, we will once again try to get the Sox motivated with some of his music.

My prediction:

Wakefield goes 6IP, 6H, 3ER.

Youk goes 2-4 with a walk and a three-run jack

Drew goes 1-4 with a solo homer

Ellsbury goes 3-3 with a walk and a double

Lugo commits 12 errors, grounds into 7 triple plays, grounds into a quadruple play, strikes out on two pitches, gets caught stealing once, and accidentally breaks Josh Beckett's foot with a gatorade cooler in the dugout.

Sox win 8-3, and Lugo is set afire by the grounds crew during the 7th inning stretch.

Tonight's game is actually on NESN plus. For those of you who have Comcast, it will be on CN8. The Bruins are broadcasted tonight on NESN. I put a link in the post up top with channel information.

Cora, Lowell being checked out

Posted by Amalie Benjamin, Globe Staff April 10, 2008 04:44 PM

The phones are ringing in Pawtucket.

With Mike Lowell sustaining a thumb injury last night, and Alex Cora feeling a "twinge," according to Terry Francona, the call has gone out to the PawSox to make sure a player is ready in case they need him. Looks like that might happen, but we'll know more after both players are examined this afternoon.

Lowell went for an MRI after coming in stiff and sore this afternoon. The MRI will be read by Dr. Thomas Gill when he arrives around 5 p.m. today.

Cora, meanwhile, went out to take some ground balls at third base around 3 p.m., and felt a "twinge in his elbow," Francona said. The team is hopeful that it was just a momentary sensation, but they're not going to rush to judgment. He was iced after he felt the twinge, and was not around in the clubhouse in the pregame availability.

The likely candidates for promotion from Pawtucket are Keith Ginter, Joe Thurston, and Jed Lowrie. Obviously the first two are veterans, with Lowrie still a rookie, so it depends on how the team wants to go, if a move is, in fact, necessary.

Okay it's very simple... here's how we win...

Pitch better than them.

Hit better than them.

Score more runs than them.

Breath through the correct eyelid.

This is a different lineup when Ortiz and Ramirez aren't hitting.

It's OK though. They win after I grace this GT with my presence.

OK.. I missed the run that Manny scored. The 3rd base coach was showing the stop sign, then Manny slides at home and (through the s***** replay going to comercial) it looked like there wasn't even a throw.

Why was he telling Manny to stop?
