I dont mind the 4 walks by Dice-K. 2007 Dice-K would have had a meltdown in the sixth with the bases loaded. I'd love for him to stop walking people, obviously, but I'm just as happy with him working around them.

And the Sox take the win. Very good start by Dice-K. Just needs to keep the BB down some more. But he's improved since last season.

 

I'll post tomorrow's game thread later this evening. Maybe we'll get lucky and win again!

I thought the pre-game ceremony was awesome today. I've been really sick the past few days, and glued to my bed. When I'm not throwing up I'm watching baseball, and it was a treat to see the kind of ceremony the Red Sox put together.One question though, what was the deal with the Stanley cup that the Bruin players brought out. Was that a replica or did they actually get the Ducks to lend it to them?

Went to the game yesterday, just what a great home opener. Besides the ring ceremony and the unfurling of the banner, Bill Buckner coming out to throw the first pitch really was something to see. The standing ovation really had emotion to it.
