I got called out of my last 2 classes but the headmaster made an announcement that all excused absences today count as unexcused because of the parade. So stupid.

 

So I still went. It was sick, even though Paps wasn't dancing when I saw him, and I had no idea what Manny was saying into the mic.

 

Also, the cops on the horses was one of the most unnecessary things I've ever seen. In the middle of a massive crowd, like 8 cops on horses just stroll back and forth, making everyone move back and forth and covering the street in s***.

I'm interested in hearing a comparison to the 2004 parade by someone that had been at both. I was at the 2004 parade which was rainy and damp but a total wild scene. I've never experienced anything like it. There was so much emotion all around. It was like a catharsis for all of New England. I also saw license plates from all over the country, just about everything except Alaska and Hawaii.
