Why pitch the CY Young candidate 3 times in a 7 game series when you can trot out garbage like Dice K and Wakefield and old man river Schilling.

isnt it simple? because this way we "have the best chance to win the series"

I'm pretty disappointed in everyone who's giving up. It's bad now' date=' but the series is not over. This team has been through way too much to lay down in the most crucial spot. While it's unlikely they come back tonight (although not impossible), they have Beckett going Thursday, and if he comes through we go back home. This series is far from over. Didn't you guys learn anything from 2004? Anything?[/quote']

2004 was a completely different team against a far less complete opponent.

Yes it does. Not so much fun on the receiving side' date=' is it now?[/quote']

Not really. We did win the division though, so we accomplished something.

Can I expect 2007 AL WILD CARD to be flying over the new Yankee Stadium?

More than that, you give your offense some hope and put someone who can offer a bit of I don't know....anything resembling life into it. Wake held his own for awhile. Ellsbury not being in the starting lineup tonight is inexcusable. This isn't Anzio. I'm sure the troops appreciate it, but it isn't a winning formula.

I had a feeling the Guardians would go to the World Series. When the bugs descend like they did straight out of the Apocalypse, and with the Rockies on quite possibly the most amazing run in history, it almost seems preordained that they meet.

This is not the same team as in '04. We have no Cabrera, Damon, Nixon, Millar.

We have s*** like Drew and Lugo. Coco can't hit. We have Dougie in the lineup. No one but our 3-4-5 is producing. And Tito refuses to start Ellsbury or Keilty.

Tito's stubbornness in keeping "his guys" in may have worked in 2004, but you can do that in a strong lineup anyway. When your hitters not in the 3-4-or5 spots aren't producing you need change. This is just plain disgusting. Frustrating and ********. From Westbrook's 1st two innings to Lofton's homerun and Martinez's front-foot hits I've never seen so much luck.

well as i see cleveland go up 7-0 I will say this... the rotation will need a little bit of work, but not much, really just fill in Schilling which can be done with Bucholz, or possibly lester if he shows good signs during the offseason. We need to work on our Bullpen, because it's not as deep as we thought.... cut Gagne, get rid of lopez, and work around it. Also as much as I love defense, after Lowell in the rotation, we just suck. It's bad to see how horrible our back end of the lineup is.

I appreciate your enthusiasm but I've been watching baseball a long time.....2004 is very very rare...and this is not a Red Sox team that comes back very often.

This series just has that feeling like the Guardians are supposed to win, its there turn and good for them.

And our offense is putrid compared to 2004's. In 2004 We could score more than 7 runs.

Nope. Hopefully the 2008 World Championship banner.

That said, it's looking like a long winter for both you guys and us. I hope that Beckett gets shelled, at least we had a better winning percentage against the Tribe than you did if that happens.

Shillingouttheks, I've been drinking since Bug-Gate. Glad to see you've joined me.

I would still like to see the Sox make a game of this. They have to start hammering this junk baller Byrd before he gets lifted.
