Good game. Dallas can't be to thrilled with that win considering the key injuries to the pack, big penalties going their way (142 at last count), and the pack was still in position to win. Dallas still came away with the win, but GB won't be afraid to come back in necessary in January.

I'm disappointed, but thrilled with the way the Packers battled in the 2nd half. Losing Woodson and KGB before the game really hurt and I thought the PI in the 4th against Williams was a pretty s***** call...but I didn't think they'd keep it as close as they did tonight anyways.

Look, 10-2 is leaps and bounds ahead of where I thought the Pack would be this season. And Aaron Rodgers showed me something tonight.

It sucks to lose, but I still feel really good about this team come playoff time. I have confidence Favre, McCarthy and co. will make the necessary adjustments.

Big game. Couldn't watch, unfortunately. Obviously the fact that there's a huge difference between January in Green Bay and January in Dallas makes homefield advantage in this instance a very big deal, and the Cowboys just about locked that up tonight. Packers will be fine in a possible rematch.

I agree. I actually think Favre getting hurt helped the pack. It seemed like Favre fell back to his old self trying to win the game with him arm instead of sticking with what has been working for them (spread formation and RAC) Rodgers came in and they got back to what had been working for them. That PI call in the 4th was a terrible call, and it's sad that the refs would err on the side of the penalty in that kind of game changing situation.

The pack would have to be terrible down the stretch to lose that 1st round bye, so they should be fine and I think Favre will be back next week. (the extra few days of rest should help too) They should be healthy come playoff time and the better weather in Dallas (if it comes to that game) may actually work out better for them for their style of play. You can see why Favre has the 'iron man' record considering he didn't even know he separated his left shoulder last night until they got into the lockeroom. When asked if he could play with that next week, he says "oh ya, that's an injury you just shoot up and go play" !

brett favre

the qb version of roger clemens?

favre has had his best year in at least 5 years i feel and he deserves credit for the packs great season so far.

lets go back to the last year.

last time we saw aaron rogers was when favre went down with what appeared to be a broken arm against the pats last fall..

.rogers came in and was knocked out for the year with a broken foot meanwhile favre came back to play the following week.

hmmmmmmmmn

think that 5-14 56yard 2 pick effort had nothing to do with his injury last nite did it?

why is it that this man who never missed a game cant finish against the better teams anymore?

im anxious to see how banged up when its game time next week

im prepared to eat my words.

if he comes in like nothings wrong he gets a new name

as opposed to brett he'll be refered to as roger

the great old warrior, old blood and guts.....

Ironic that the same rookie led officiating crew that bungled the pats/colts game got to do the same in the boys/pack game.......the 2 biggest games of the year!

I understand your anti-Favre bias, but what would you say if Brady took a shot to the elbow, and separated his shoulder like Favre did last night?

I've learned that nothing I'll ever say can convince you of my way of thinking, but in my opinion comparing Favre to Clemens is pretty laughable, especially considering the fact Favre never commands the media circus Clemens does. Does the media talk a lot about Favre? Yes, because they recognize it is the end of his career, and he's possibly a top 10 QB of all time.

I'm looking forward to 8-10 years in the future when Brady gets the same treatment from the media. Bet you won't have a problem with it then.

im not bragging but i can pop my shoulder in and out like a culcutta showman

its not that i disrespect his game kg

hes had a tremendous year and a solid career

its the incessant ball washing that is the routine every time this man gets national exposure

ok

its unfair to label him clemens becuase hes only retired once

but leaving a football game early with injury is the equivalent of leaving 10 baseball games early and favre has now fallen twice against the leagues elite in 12 months.

seperated shoulders have varying effects

if hes truly f***ed up he wont be on the field whether they load him up with morphine dilotta b*12 cortizone or a good does of china white

all have a blessed weekend

rip uncle johnny

part of my backbone is now missing

For the first defensive snap, the 'Skins will only field 10 players with no FS to honor Taylor. Pretty f***ing cool. The Bills are douches if they take advantage of that.

Wow, can't wait to see highlights of that. Awesome gesture.

Adrian Peterson....how many fantasy team has missed you.

Signature Gibbs loss forthcoming. Up 2 with the ball at the 2-min warning, Buffalo with 2 time-outs. He runs on 1st and 2nd to make them burn TO's, which I have no problem with. On 3rd and 8, he predictably runs again, not going for the throat. Of course that gets stopped, so Buff gets it with about 1-min left. Three plays later, they are in long FG range. Retire you f***ing dinosaur.

LOL, they get a 15-yd unsportsmanlike to move Buffalo from the 33 to the 18. FG good. Douchebaggery.

Bills won, eh?

Gibbs is really tarnishing his legacy... certainly, I think, among those who weren't old enough to remember his glory days in Washington. But he comes back and he's a below average coach... it's remarkable. The game hasn't changed that much.

I should note, he's not the only one to blame. Campbell needs to start proving he isn't a total choker. Two 4th quarter picks when down 6 last week, Two 2nd half turn-overs, a fumble and pick, on consecutive possessions this week, and he's been responsible for their inability to do much late in previous weeks. He's progressing, but he's been awful late in close games.

Does Coughlin have the same teflon ability of Randolph and Ike? The Giants, thanks to the Eli ship sailing, are tanking hard again in the second half of the season. I think he gets the axe.

Possibly...but they did win today.

I think Coughlin is gone after this season unless they make a monster run in the playoffs. It was painful watching the skins game today....how does Gibbs not know that calling a 2nd timeout in a row is a penalty? He took it from a really tough FG to a very easy one with one stupid rookie mistake.

Feely was just terrible...apparently Tatupu was wearing camo because he got the ball thrown right to him 3 times...to his credit he caught them all but they weren't that tough.

Anyone see the colts/jags game? I couldn't see it and heard there were a lot of problems with the refs. Then saw this statistic:

Last 10 games:

Colt Penalties 36 for 235 yards

Colt Opponents 57 for 505 yards

All teams are different and some are much more diciplined then others when it comes to penalties...but this is a pretty big difference.

Great quote:

I wouldn't say that...but I wouldn't be surprised if Polian hasn't had an affect. Before each pats game with the colts I know he 'briefs the officials crew' as to what the 'rules committee' wants to focus on. Since he's the head of the rules committee that's his right, and while i am sure the refs haven't done anything intentionally they would still have that in the back of their minds. Since he's done that with that pats games, i am sure he does it at every home game, if not every game. Let us not forget the playoff game with Pitt when the Polumalu int was reversed as incomplete! This year the projected numbers for penalties are (for 16 games) Colts opponents: 91-808 and the Colts: 57-376........that's a pretty big difference.

Polian after the Pats game on HIS show..."I thought the calls in the game were pretty much fair except for a couple that were called on us......ya ok Bill:rolleyes:

I didn't see the game, but here's some of what the Jags are saying after yesterday:

“Guys in my position get fined for saying what they think. I’ll let you say what you saw,” Del Rio said.

All right, we saw a field day for replay review, and every review seemed to go Colts coach Tony Dungy’s way. Dungy used so many “challenges” that he was unable to use one he certainly would’ve won; he only had one “challenge” left and it was too early in the first half to use it. So, you could say, that’s a “challenge” the Jaguars won. It was the only one.

Crowd noise, huh? No, it was defensive line noise.

“I think John Teerlinck does a great job with his guys,” Del Rio said of the Colts defensive line coach, for whom Del Rio played while with the Vikings. “He does a great job of getting his guys to bark. We tried to talk to the officials about it. The crowd noise was excellent,” Del Rio added, no doubt flippantly.

“They were barking a little bit and giving false movements. I felt like I was hearing a whistle at times. I almost pulled up a couple of times,” quarterback David Garrard said.

The Jaguars were angered by officiating they believed was tilted in the Colts’ favor. Defensive end Paul Spicer, who continues to play the best of any Jaguars defensive lineman, was pointed in his remarks.

Spicer was seen to counsel wide receiver Reggie Williams along the sideline following a personal foul penalty that killed a potential touchdown drive in the fourth quarter. Williams was flagged for retaliation.

“That guy was doing stuff after the whistle and Reggie retaliated. I said we’re in Indianapolis and (Colts president Bill) Polian gives them a little extra in the check,” Spicer said.

“You know what it is. You watched the game. You know,” Spicer said, hinting at the subject of his criticism but stopping short of being specific. “The people at home were probably wondering what was going on out there.

“The Colts are known for that stuff, late stuff. That’s just what they do and we can’t get sucked into that. Reggie didn’t too much; just get off me,” Spicer said.
