Hahahahahahahahaahha how the hell did Dallas still win this game despite Romo throwing 5 interceptions AND losing a fumble? Buffalo...Jesus Christ.

Two of those INT's were Bills TD's, weren't they?

I'm having a real tough time getting into the NFL this year. Two great teams (Colts, Patriots) and then everyone else is just mediocre. Maybe it's just the MLB playoffs taking the better part of my attention that's the reason. We'll see here in a week or two...

This makes them a little more legit... If they can get back to their aggressive ways, which they very well may have based on how they've been playing, they're a legitimate threat to win the AFC. I haven't seen them play since the New England game, but they played extremely soft to start the season off.

Its a sad year to be a Jets fan. So much excitment going into the season, I really thought we could have done something...but the only win weve managed is vs the Dolphins....awsome.Its sad because we had so much talent, and it wasnt even Pennington, he did well in games this year, but the defense is allowing like 20 points a game, and then pennington gets the ball with 2 minuets and 90 yards to go, he cant always pull that off.

It seems though this was his end as starter, seeing that Clemens was put in in the 4th. I guess that could be good, having him go the last half of the season as starter, and get him ready for next year. If its the case, hell get some easy teams like the Phins, then get his challeneges like the Steelers and Pats.

So I guess I got to accept the fact this was a terrible sports year for me, and look forawrd to next year.

It's wrong to pin this on Pennington, but I understand why they finally made the move. In addition to being put in a bad spot all season, Pennington has been playing poorly.

I can respect your thoughts on ESPN's coverage last night. I do think that it was over the top.

However, IMO, the reason it was as is because his career is close to being over, and he's had a bit of "resurgence" this season. It's a good story, plus ESPN has to make waves with their television anyway.

I don't like ESPN anymore but I bet they'd do the same to Brady in the tail end of his career.

ESPN will do whatever they need for ratings, besides anything to distract from Kornheiser I am in favor of. I didn't mind it, but I have been a Favre fan all along though and this was his last trip (probably) to Denver.

Brett Favre could play for another four years, and wouldn't play in Denver.

good points gents

anyone else want to see tony kornheiser beaten publically?

faaaaak i hate that guy

I enjoy Tony on PTI, but can't stand him on MNF. ESPN should just show the football game and quit trying to attract the casual fan with these guests in the booth that have nothing to do with football and with a "color analyst" who can't analyze a game and isn't all that entertaining without Wilbon. Just let Tirico (one of my favorite play-by-play guys) and Jaws (one of my favorite color guys) call the game and let me watch football without trying to entertain me.

How about Adrian Peterson? That guy's amazing...

They were debating on ESPN this morning if he was the 2nd best runningback in the NFL, behind LT. At first I started laughing, figuring it was rediculous a rookie could be the 2nd best RB in the NFL. Then I thought about it, and you could make the argument its true, especially after the 46 fantasy points he got me today (would have been 50 if he had 4 more rushing yards, 1 more recieving yard, and not lost that fumble).

Might be the best. :dunno:

Didn't he rush for 244 earlier this year?

NFL will toss guys for flagrant hits:

http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=3103608

"Officials will be reminded this week to pay strict attention to these rules and disqualify the fouling player if the action is judged to be flagrant," Pereira wrote in the memo sent to the 32 NFL teams. "Actions that involve flagrant helmet to helmet contact are the likely acts that will include disqualification. Our commissioner and this office remain very focused on the safety of our players."

Great catch and run on a screen by Brian Westbrook to give the Eagles the lead late over the Skins.

EDIT: Although they couldn't completely run out the clock, that was a very strange decision by the Eagles to score, especially on first down. The Redskins basically wanted them to score.

The Eagles could have left the Redskins with only about 20-30 seconds left on the clock. Instead they have over two minutes left, needing a TD and a two point coversion.

I'm so ready for Gibbs to retire again. His vanilla play calling and poor clock management (2 TO's prior to the challenge on Betts fumble, which they lost) have cost them more than one game this year.

RE: Romo

You really think so? I think he gets away with a lot of things that QBs with lesser supporting casts get grilled for. Throwing off balance, off the back foot, winging it. He's Rex Grossman with an elite WR and TE, and backs who get who contribute in the passing game, IMO.
