SUCH GREAT CONTACT BUT NOTHING f***IN' FALLS IN.

OH, NOW YOU PINCH HIT FOR LUGO, TITO. YOU IDIOT.

My thoughts exactly. Even then I like Hinske better as a pinch hitter. Like Cora he is a lefty but he actually has some pop, also helps that he has a career homerun vs Davis. Cora could then come in the next inning as a defensive replacement

f***ing f***

this has to be the most frustrating team imaginable for having one of the best records in baseball

game should have never f***ing gone to extras with that ridiculous 3-1 call on papi with the bases loaded

I don't even care about the call. We didn't deserve to win. Daisuke did, but not the team as a whole.

You would figure that when you're pitcher gives you 8 innings while giving up one run you'd win the game.

This team really sucks right now. They need to smarten up.

And by the way...I CALL THE NEXT GAMETHREAD. SCHILLINGOUTTHEKS MOJO IS COMING BACK, BITCHES.

Im pissed right now, DiceK pitches another gem and the offense does crap to back him up. In 5 starts this month DiceK has gotten 5 runs of support, David Ortiz and Manny not doing ANYTHING in MULTIPLE key spots is frankly unacceptable. Sorry if im overreacting but lets show some heart out there, this was an embarrassment of a series.

I disagree. That pitch was borderline. In other words, it was close. Papi should accept it and move on. But he's such a twat about the umps and the strikezone that he really chased on the next pitch which was way out of the zone and lead to a weak grounder to end the inning.

Agreed.

Papi and Manny aren't doing their jobs. We need more homeruns, and more run production.

A-Rod for clean-up hitter next year, anyone?

we are looking like a very flawed team right now

This is a slight over reaction. Offenses will slump, especially on the road. The pitching kept us in the game and gave us a chance to win the game even though the offense was flat. My worry is that the continuing forfeit in the 5th rotation spot will start to take its toll on the bullpen and the other starters. If Schilling comes back strong, this should not be a problem, but if he falters and is DL'd again, the pitching will be flawed especially in the playoffs.

Schilling is known to be absolute money in the playoffs. If the Sox lose him for the playoffs it'll be hard, but a 1-2 of Beckett-DiceK isn't that bad.

But can you imagine trying to beat the Sox in a series when they're throwing out Schilling, then Beckett, then Matsuzaka for the first 3 games?

If they lose Schilling, a team like the Angels would have to win 1 of the first 2 games and then they would have a big advantage against the rest of our rotation.
