Hey the Yanks lost...

Yeah. I can't take this anymore though. We have an offensive explosion, and then we take the night off for the next three games. It's frustrating as hell. Our offense needs to be much more consistent.

Is there a fight in the stands' date=' or what?[/quote']

No idea. Watching this game at the park would make me very, very irritated. The last thing I need is someone yelling stupid s*** at me right now.

Night folks. I'm not staying up until 1 to watch them do nothing. At least they'll lose no ground tonight.

I think having an adequate leadoff hitter would help remedy the situation.

Verry frustrating night for the Sox' date=' or at elats for me, I hate games where we just get shut down. Good mvoe by Tito getting thrown out, maybe it'll light a fire under our asses.[/quote']

Just like it did in Oakland?

This team is either on or dead. It doesn't seem like they get motivated. They either do their jobs or they don't.

Go drink Wake and forget this night.

I'm going to pray that they just had a bad night and that it won't carry into tomorrow. I can't stand it. But, I'm a Sox fan....so I'm staying glued to the TV.

I should be out seeing '1408' right now. Damn this probation. Damn these Padres.

 What happened? And where have you been this season?

wow Wakefield is horrible

Not really. He eats innings. He'll finish around .500 with 200 innings. Every staff needs a guys like that.

And we're fortunate to have Tavarez. With the way he's been pitching, it's safe to designate Wake as the 5th starter.

Eh' date=' I see what you're saying about Crisp, inkman. However, the 7-8-9 hitters -- Mirabelli (.188), Lugo (.196) and Wake (.000) really blew our one opportunity.[/quote']

It's so irritating. Lugo is a sure out every time, and Wakefield takes up two roster spots. Mirabelli can't hit for his life. If we have Wakefield pitching in an NL park, we're f***ed for our 7-8-9. I never thought I'd say this, but I'd rather have the opposing team's 7-8-9 than our Mirabelli-Lugo-Crisp.

Lugo is going to get an EARFUL when he comes back to Boston. I'm already shivering thinking about how bad it might be.

Well, I am out. 6-0 is not out of reach, even for the way we have been hitting, but I have to turn in Bobby and The Departed to Hastings tomorrow. So I might as well watch one of them.

Take care guys. Let's hope we can at least put up a run or two.

Don Orsillo: "Mirabelli has had a tough night tonight with some of his swings."

Uh, Don, he always sucks.

HE DIDN'T STRIKEOUT THIS TIME!!!!

Way to work Young this inning guys. You're going to get him for ANOTHER inning most likely.

Its really just not worth it to have Wakefield in the rotation anymore if he requires carrying around a blackhole for his caddy and mad inconsistency. We say this alot, when wake is on hes great when hes not, hes awful. An ERA near 7 in his last 8 starts tells me hes been not a lot more often lately. Its really frusturating at this point.

I wish the FO would pick up a starter, before the trading deadline. The thought of throwing Wakefield and catching Mirabelli in a playoff game makes me nauseas.

I was in favor of picking up his option for next year, but now I'm really having second thoughts. We need a backup catcher, yes, but I'd rather bring up Kottaras to backup Varitek next year. He can't be as bad as Mirabelli. He just can't. Sign Zambrano or Sabathia, and have our rotation look like this next year:

Beckett

Matsuzaka

Zambrano/Sabathia

Lester

Buchholz

I really wouldn't mind that.

I don't think you will see two rookies holding down rotation spots.
