The Pads announcers are orgasmic over the irony of Mirabelli striking out and Bard doubling. They seem a little more vitriolic than they were last night. I guess losing in front of what turned out to be a home crowd for the Sox at Petco has rubbed them the wrong way. I'd love for their whining to reach new levels tomorrow.

 I LOVE ANNOUNCERS THAT DON'T HAVE A CLUE.

i hope shorty hasn't become his usual nickname. that would be a terrible nickname.

IT'S NOT. I CALL HIM D-PEDS MOST OF THE TIME.

ANYWAY, WE NEED TO GET A HIT. THIS IS IRRITATING.

AND KUDOS TO THE SOX FAN FOR THROWING HIS HAT OUT THERE. I WOULD HAVE DONE THE SAME THING.

Sad performance by the O thus far. Young is a good pitcher, but he's throwing 90%+ fastballs. No guesswork out there. The 12 runs one game, 3 games off stuff needs to stop.

Agreed, you think the batters would catch on by their 2nd AB, early FBs (that look harder than they really are) and late sliders. Also, their timing should be there but it's not. If Young throws one of those inside to Papi next AB, mark my words, it will go back a far way. As long as Wake keeps us in, maybe we can steal this one.

I'm never that impressed with Young. He has had a lot of success but his stuff just doesn't seem that explosive to me. He does have a strange motion and a little hitch in his delivery, but they should manage to get him out of the game. He is really attacking the plate, however, and the sox haven't it. Until Drew's first hit. Nice looking swing JD.
