ok this can go in to the crap section now. What a joke some most of these threads nowadays turn into

EDIT: and oh wow, Dodgers won NL West with a whopping 88 wins!11!!!!111!!

Alcohol enemas can kill you. Word on the street is that's how Marilyn Monroe died.

AND, the important part of this post: Part of the Dodger Blues deal is that you guy's can't derail all threads and turn them into Dodgers threads. There's basically no link between the Sox and Dodgers. A thread about Papelbon shouldn't turn into a thread about Saito.

Yeszir, I understand what you're saying. However, if we read something like "Papelbon is the greatest closer ever" and then we respond with a photo of Mo or Gagne in their primes, is that de-railing a thread?

I mean, once Saito was brought up in this thread, it should have been end of discussion. Don't blame Dodger fans for Sox fans' inability to take off the red-tinted glasses.

I know I know, but where did the Champagne enema come into play?

The Cards won it all last year and they only 83 games and they have rings. Does it really matter how many games you win in the regular season?

(It was a wild card berth, it was all we had. :dunno: )

Technically, that's all LA has with Saito too.

Fair enough. I went a bit overboard with the pics.

Dodger fans care to respond?

Saves? Inherited runners? Which batters did they face? Did Papelbon get to come in against Bard, Blum, and Headley? Or was it Spicoli and Sledge?

As stated earlier, nice sample size.

By the way, 5 Ks in 4 innings is FILTHIER than 6 Ks in 6 innings. so if we are comparing which pitcher is the filthier, again the egde goes to the ninja.

Dodgers are just NL farm team .. anyone can win that dud of a division.

You sound like you have just been Donkey-Punched by Fred. oh, and the Dodgers do not have 200 million dollar teams that hover around .500 in the NL West.

infinite K/BB > 5.0 K/BB

Well, this is what you said...

Care to post Saito's stats against the AL East this season? Talk about filthy.

You said this season, so I really don't see how you can bitch about the sample size?

You'd rather have a guy get more K's and allow more runs than less K's and less runs?

Saito vs. AL East: 4 IP, 3 hits, 1 BB, 5 Ks, 2.25 ERA

Papelbon vs. NL West: 6 IP, 2 hits, 0 BB, 6 Ks, 0.00 ERA

You suck at math.

Papelbon has 5 saves in 5 innings vs the NL West. 8 Ks. 2 hits. No BB. 0.00 ERA

Over the latest interleague matchups vs Toronto and Tampa Bay, Saito has 5Ks in 3 innings, 2 hits, no BBs, 0.00 ERA.

I realize the one game that makes any difference is when Matt Stairs golfed a solo shot off a Saito pitch in the dirt.

Rdsx, yeszir is calling the shots and he let these guys on this board to avoid a flaming war between the talksox posters and the DB crowd. You can either grin and bear it or leave the board, sad to say. Hopefully the clamor dies down and we can discuss the Dodgers the same way we do the Yankees with Jacko and 228. I think we have a lot more going for us than they do. Unless we completely fall apart this summer we may finally win an AL East Title for the first time in 12 years and go on from there.

The Dodgers? Even though I predicted they would win the West, it looks like improved teams like Colorado and Arizona are in the race to stay, and the Padres are as great an overachieving team as there is.
