"I thought it would be his Okie and his Jima" f***ing moron. Bonds and Mcf***er are high on my despise list.

And I love how they describe Okajima as "funky" as if he has some wierd delievery that messes with hitters. He just has nasty stuff.

Wow, FOX, thank you for that truly useless bit of information. 1-0 in Chicago and Boston in the same day, WTF?

You went to the doctor after the bottom of the 6th and you're already back?

Dice-K is becoming unhittable, and we still can't really touch Cain.

Just had to run to pick up some papers. He isn't far from me and I had left at the top of the 6th. At that time it was 1-0.

in their defense, he is funky. You dont make an 89 mph fastball look like its 99 unless you have deception.

McCarver's new buddy was believing the radar gun in the 6th inning. "Well you know when power pitchers are in jams, they'll reach back for a litle bit more. His last pitch topped out at 100"

Cain hasn't won on the road since 5/13' date=' and that was in a 15-2 blowout of the Rockies. Since then, he's 0-2 with a 4.82 ERA. Overall, he's 1-3, 2.62 on the road. He hasn't gotten much run support, though.[/quote']

Once again, the mighty Giant lineup can't get to opposing pitching. Cain and Derek Lowe would both have better records if their batters could actually hit when they're pitching.

McCarver was surprised Papelbon threw a splitter... when Paps closes, he uses two pitches, the fastball and splitter... it's really not surprising on any count except with 3 balls.

How do you say his name. Cause Mcf***er calls him..

Popple-bahn.

I always thought it was

Pap (like pap smear)- ll- bon

I guess he's going for the French pronunciation.

Kinda like Matt DIE-az of the Braves.

Awesome. Matsuzaka was superb, allowing just 3 hits and 3 walks in 7 innings. Cain was great too, but loses (seems to be the story of his season). Manny jacks one, Okajima gets outta the big jam, Paps shuts em down. 43-24.

Did anyone read the stat showed up on the screen during the first batter? Papelbon has a 1.58 ERA during his first 3 mlb seasons, it was shown so quickly I didnt get to read the rest

Yess Sox win, 43-24. 8.5 game lead holds steady

Matsuzaka stood tall on the national stage and pitched one hell of a gem. Getting through jams, he was able to hurl 7 scoreless innings while striking out 8... outpitching the 22 year old hard thrower Matt Cain

Hopefully we start to see one of Manny's tears where he hits 8 HRs over the next 2 weeks
