Very painful to know that the day of the draft that Julio Lugo costs us the 20th pick (and possibly Rick Porcello), he's the one that makes the error that allows Shannon Stewart to come up in the 9th inning and break up the No-No.

What's important is that he was able to bear down, not be effected in an adverse way after giving up the hit, and get the final out. That part was certainly impressive in my eyes.

One of the best games I have ever seen pitched...TOTAL control from start to finish. I am really deflated though..I was getting chills the entire 9th inning...I really wanted this for Curt and the team. I guess that's what happens when you shake Tek off...but he pitched a his tail off..he should make the call. Wow..that was really close to being a perfect game.

Not me. We won and the Blue Jays lost. We gained a game for the first time in days. Oh, I wished that Curt had thrown a no-hitter because I love Schill but while he might feel some disappointment he has to understand that he wants to be the ace of the staff and or the stopper and he proved why he is just that. Besides, he looked very upbeat in a post-game interview and talked about how important it was to win the game. I really believe that the win was more important to him than the no-hitter. : :D :D :D

He pitched a great game, and it was a legit hit not some swing bunt single off the end of the bat. If you are going to be pissed with a win and a dominate outing to snap a losing streak are you really a Sox fan? & last I checked Shannon Stewart is in the Majors and lets see you get one pitch by him.

I agree with you 100%, I was so disapointed when the no hitter was lost, and am still a little disapointed. Obviously we are still extremely happy we got this win, and it was also encouraging to get this type of dominant outting out of Curt Schilling today, but never the less I am still pissed the no hitter was broken.
