You have Beckett vs Owings which is severely in your favor, but DMats vs RJ next week is gonna be tough if RJ is slinging it well. A tough stretch against mediocre teams who are throwing right into your weaknesses.

We lost to a f***in Lenny DiNardo; we were shut out for six innings by that piece of s***???? He was absolutely the most f***ed up pitcher we had last year, couldn't get anybody out, and he shuts us out?????? We are going in a slump now and I warned how important beating the Yankees Sunday was and we didn't get it done. This is absolutely disgraceful losing to a s*** header like TILD---the immortal Lenny DiNardo and if Red Sox fans are not now concerned they sure as hell should start being very concerned. Three God-damn hits and we have to throw Wakefield tomorrow. Anybody for four losses in a row? I am absolutely f***in pissed off right now. EDIT: Meanwhile some people need to chill. It is pretty remarkable that the Sox have just had their first 3 game losing streak of the season. The starting rotation is still strong, the bullpen will be stronger with Julian Tavarez and Mike Timlin added to the mix within the next week or two. Even though Jacko doesnt want to admit it, the Sox do have a good offensive lineup. The Sox have the luxury of their early large lead to have small slumps. Cmon people with this pitching staff, large slumps just arent possible

Dice has been an innings eater so far, but his ERA hasnt been all that wonderful. Wang has proven to this point that 2 yrs deep into his career, he can give 6-8 innings per start and have an ERA at or below 4. Dice hasnt proven that yet. In 2 yrs, I'l likely be singing a different tune.

where did I ever say you had a bottom league offense. Dont put words in my mouth. I said that if you created this lead solely on O, ie you had no pitching, then I'd say you could be beaten. But because you have done this on offense AND pitching, I dont think you can be caught.

With all the freakin' lousy breaks the Red Sox have had over the years why not one damn season when everything breaks right and we just romp? That's what I wanted to see this year. Well, we probably won't get it and have to fight like hell for and AL East title. Good to know that a young buck like yourself is a calmer figure that this mad old war horse you're reading. I do think more than ever we are going to have to make some additions and subtractions to this team. Some of our guys are not going to make it happen for us this year. What's even worse??? a lead is only useful if you actually use it. If you are up by 20 games in May and finish the season up 20 games, then you really only needed 1 game of that lead, correct? You have a huge cushion.
