Okay, you know what? I'm changing my attitude.

 

I'm sure that none of us are as pissed as the players themselves about what's been happening. Hopefully this game ends on schedule, and they can go back to the hotel and get some normal sleep for once. Come back tomorrow meaning business.

 

If they win tonight, that's an extra boost.

you really think Baltimore is going to be tough to hold off? The only team that could catch you guys is the yankees and they are too old and banged up to do so. You guys are getting worked up for nothing.

Im not getting worked up. My fiancee is an Orioles fan. The outcome of both games determines who holds the leash and the knife today.

Exactly. Can't blame anyone and Dice-K's record is good b/c he normally gets run support. Not the case tonight.....obviously........

I love this, we are going through one bad stretch and everyone is freaking out about the team and season. Correct me if I'm wrong, but we have kept it close in every loss and just came out on the losing end. Our team is tired, our pen is tired, yet we are keeping it close. We had no right to win last night, but we battled and nearly won. This is nothing to fear, but expected, we can't win them all...

Heres the adversity we've been expecting. When games are lost in bunches you see just what the team is made of. It's all easy when your 21 over 500. Now the season gets for real as far as i'm concerned.

I stopped being shy about my tastes after she stabbed me in the chest with a broken spork in the middle of a McDonalds. I couldnt help but kiss her and now whenever we go there we get the looks. I figured after that I could talk about it freely. :lol:

the season starts "for real" if you guys give away about 10 games of your lead. Then, you should worry. Every team hits bad stretches and I had been saying that the sox were not as good as they were playing for awhile now. That being said, the pitching has been pretty good and should make shallow the bad times and strengthen the good. If you were putting this lead together solely on O, then I'd say you were beatable. But right now, unless Beckett goes down again, your team has a hammer and then a corps of solid pitchers. You'll be fine.

as a yankee fan, I remember what it was like having big leads. The lead is there for a reason and finishing the season up by 15 games isnt all that fun. When you are up by 12.5 games like you are now, you are at least guaranteed to hit the pillow for the next 13 nights in first place. Every win or Yankee loss extends your nights of 1st place sleep. And 1st place sleep is such a nice slumber.
