Roger now wants to rush ahead to come back in 4 or 5 days instead. Alright Roger... 45 year old pitcher with a strained groin, who hasnt pitched vs actual major leaguers since October... hes only setting himself up for a more serious injury

Lowell. More Production. Tito' date=' Lowell wants the 5 spot.[/quote']

I wouldn't mess with him....he seems to be doing really well in the 6th spot. Now if someone could just step up and produce well in the 5 spot....that would be one nasty middle section of the lineup.

So, now I hear that Clemens will not face us or the White Sox, but will be ready to take on the fearsome Pirates. What a wuss!

BTW: I am still loving the Randy Johnson and Sheffield trades... big time!

I don't understand people who think moving him up a spot will mess him up. Hes a MLB hitter. Moving him up one spot isn't going to all of a sudden make him suck. What it will do is give him more AB and strengthen the top of the lineup. Were not talking about making him a leadoff hitter, were talking about moving up one spot.

Why? Those trades bolstered their farm and could give them what they need to add a good arm or a good bat at the deadline... Will you still be happy if they nab Texiera with those prospects? How about if they hold on to Humberto and Tabata long enough to let them develop and they make a play for Santana when the Twins can't resign him. Yeah, I'm so glad they did that rather than keep a couple of hurt aging former-allstars....

The Randy Johnson trade was terrible. His K/9, WHIP, BB/K ratio indicated that he could have given the Yankees a pretty solid bounce back year. Vizcanio should be pitching better than this, but the other three prospects are mediocre at best.

The Sheffield one could turn up to be solid for the Yankees, but right now, the Tigers are the big winners.

BTW, none of those prospects is going to land Teixeira.

The Randy Jonson trade wasn't terrible (maybe). I'm still a lot more scared of Gary Sheffield than Bobby Abreu. I think Humberto Sanchez is out for the season? He was the corner stone of that trade and.....who knows what he will be when he comes back.

The best prospect of all of them Is Humberto Sanchez and he is laid up with arm trouble. I am glad that the Sheffield, the former All Star, is out of NY with his 12 HRs, 30 RBIs, 47 Runs and 7 SBs. On second thought, he might still be an All Star.

I wonder at what point he may be considered the best pitching prospect in the minors.

Some time after Gallardo gets called up.
