Hey guys, it is all there right in front of us tonight. The Yankees lost and we have a royal chance to pick up another game on them if we can pull off a win tonight. Tim owes himself a good game and we need one from him to keep all this mojo working. Wins in May count as much as those in September and the more distance we put between ourselves and the Yankees the better it is for us and the tougher it will be for them to make up that ground. A win tonight will go a long way to giving us the edge we need to take the AL East for the first time in 12 years----finally.

Wonderful. Wake is having that inning. And, in large part to the Cat being a bush league bitch faking like he didn't know that pitch was going to hit him. I'm not a violent person, but if I knew I could get away with it, I'd do bad things to him.

Why is it that Wakefield always seems to have that one bad inning when he gives it all away? He can't keep doing that, especially since he has his own personal catcher who is a guaranteed O-fer just about every time he plays a game. The hitters better get it strapped on very soon. We can sure use this game.

Fred he's still doing his part as a #4 guy. Keep in mind through his first 7 starts he was among the best in AL ERA. Its all about the inept offense that shows up to back him up. In his five losses they have scored for him... 5 runs

EDIT: Manny!! About time Wake gets luck like this, tied game just like that

When the one pitch that defines who you are as a pitcher comes in at 66-68 mph and is entirely dependent, literally, on which way the wind is blowing, then that "one" inning shouldn't surprise anyone.

Nice, Coco. Keep the foot on the pedal, boys.

Wake is at 91 pitches. Given that Wake has settled down since the 5th and the pen worked a lot yesterday, would you put Wake out for the 8th and have the BP ready to take it over if he gets in trouble?
