YANKEES WIN!!!

Nice win. Wang pitched well until the 7th. ARod, Cano, Giambi, and Damon snapped out of slumps. Bruney and Farnsworth were very nice. We pounded Wake and forced your pen to throw a few innings. Solid game.

Let me guess the Yankees are right back in the race now?

Exactly. The sky is falling. Pounded Wake might be a tad of an overstatement. 200 million should buy you more than a few HR's and 6 runs. Sox lost that game more than the MFY's won it. I'll try to stop biting my nails in fear. See...1920's silent film w/ the heroine cowering.

I will mention...well just because I'm cranky and I hate to lose against that damn team. Our fearless prognosticator and ever eternal optimist and subtle instigator is exactly 44 games behind 1st place in our fantasy league.

that could be due to me losing 2 full weeks of internet, both weeks I finished 12 games under .500 (4-16). That and my offense has been putrid to this point.

As far as being out of the race or back into it, I never said we were. I said that a double digit lead after June 3rd is out of the race for us. Anything other than that and we are still in it. As much as you dont wish to admit it, a win today could have crushed us. But we won this one early while having all phases of the game going. When we are rolling, we wont be beaten. The problem is, we havent been in sync at all. Our offense ws great in the first month, while our pitching sucked. In the second month, our starters have been solid, but the offense has sucked. And our pen has blown their fair share of games as well. If we get it all rolling, we will do very well. We havent to this point. We have had 2 days in a row where all systems were a go. If we continue to be very inconsistent, you wont have anything to worry about. And right now, we are so far behind you that no matter what we do, we may not catch you. We'll see how it works out. But tonight was a good one. 2 more and we get a little bit back into this. 9 games back (loss column is all that matters) on May 21st is a large, but not insurmountable obstacle.

Glad most of you guys out there aren't taking this one too hard. I had a bad feeling about this game myself and hope we can right the ship the next two days. I wish Curt Schilling was pitching tomorrow instead of Wednesday. He loves pitching in YS and is a money pitcher when we need him to be, but I guess we have to hope that Julian steps up with the heavy metal again. I might suggest you watch the U-Tube snippets that was posted by one of our people on board. Some of them are funny as hell and take some of the sting out of what happened last night.

For me I am taking a few days to visit my pal for some golf and fishing the rest of the week but I doubt if I will be able to put the Red Sox out of my mind. Let's just be sure that those guys don't sweep us this series.

If I were you, I wouldnt worry either. I wouldnt give a flying f*** what happened in this series. But if you havent been sleeping amazingly of late, you could have slept a tiny bit better if you won tonight.

The game was a lot of fun today. Obnoxious Sox fans got to eat some crow at the Stadium. Taunting A-Rod up until that ball landed 450 feet away, that was fun.

There has been a change in this Yankee team the last two and a half games. It has been a significant, noticeable change. I honestly think they're about to round into form, and go on some runs of simply winning series. Damon looked better, Cano looked better, and that helped the offense have some life. We'll be alright, let's keep at them tomorrow.

This one tonight hurt. We kinda needed this one seeing as how Tavarez is pitching tmrw. But then again with Wakefield you never know what is going to happen one game he is on and the next game he struggles to pitch. Either way let's hope the Sox win the game tmrw and gain the game we lost today back.

Hey A-rod, in case you haven't noticed this is a sox forum, and really just don't troll, that was kinda borderline but I'll admit, I haven't read very many of your posts, but the ones I have have been generally negative. Please, don't troll.

That said... erm, pretty uneventful game. Better luck tomorrow hopefully.
